Can everyone stop pretending that Diaconu is a massive puncher?

He's not a massive puncher. He has good power which makes him an effective puncher because of his precision, because he throws more than one big punch and because of his explosiveness. Not much explosiveness to be seen on Saturday night, though...:-(

 

I didn't see his last fight. But if Diaconu lands clean on Dawson though it will seem like he is a big puncher.

Precisely; the argument is not that Diaconu is a massive puncher but that he is an effective enough puncher to test Dawson's chin properly. Nothing more.

 

A puncher is not necessarily a knockout artist and a knockout artist is not necessarily a puncher. Dianconu, like Sam Peter, is another one of these punchers who never learned the fundamentals of boxing. If you don't learn how to set up knockouts you won't get them against better quality opponents.

Diaconu's biggest advantage imo is that he has a great team behind him that will possibly think of the perfect gameplan to fight Dawson with.

It was during one of these discussions that I pointed out that he has a lower KO ratio than Dawson, whom Diaconu's fans claim is "light hitting".

Does he hit hard enough to hurt Dawson? Yes. But after the Henry fight, we know Dawson hits hard enough to hurt him too.

 

Well when you are having a discussion with RealiZm he isnt very realistic.
