No way can he be an ATG

Floyd is the master of defense and is arguably one of the greatest defensive boxers ever

However Pacquiao is one of the most offensively skilled boxers ever

But the fire and ice haven't come together, regardless of whose fault it was that the fight hasn't materialised it still means that floyd hasn't fought his "Robert Duran"

Also when have you seen a fighter boasting about his paperview figures, Floyd only fights for money and not for legacy - the low risk high reward says it all

Lastly, he can box beautifully but his offense is his right hand 80% of the time, he has no power and cannot put forth combinations.

He is a GREAT fight but not ATG, maybe top 20

De la hoya went the distance in a decent fight, Pacquiao retired him

Theres a huge difference in the De La Hoya that fought Mayweather and the one that pacqiauo fought.

The fact you bought this up shows me your biased.

The fight was only 13 months later, and before you say Pacquiao beat him when he lost to Mayweather, what difference does that make? Being out boxed by Mayweather is hardly traumatising

are you daft son? Hatton and Castillo (who beat him the 1st fight) were the best ones he fought. Gatti? really? Mosely was shot, Oscar on the way out, etc., Cotto subprime. You forgot Baldomer...:hi::rofl

Floyd isn't even in the top 50.

Firstly 13 months is a long time in boxing.

Secondly, the fact that i have to point this out to you, proves that you dont know anything about boxing, and your only here to hate on Mayweather.

Mayweather fought De Lay Hoya at his current weight, Pacqiauo fought him at a weight, he hadnt fought at in about 8 years.

Ok fair enough, who in the last 20 years is better than him? I'm not including Chavez Sr and Meldrick Taylor in the last 20 years.

Of course you could say Pacquiao who I love as a fighter, but I think Floyd is better. Rigo is an exceptional boxer but that comment is purely false.

If he could go back in time and fight all the top competition instead of ducking them then he would have had a better shot at top fighter of all time

    Completely impossible at this point.
Simply missed too many fights, spend too much of his prime "on vacation"

If he gets really really active now and takes some serious risks he might get into the top 10 at some point but even that seems unlikely.

Quickly noted more talented, better fighters in recent years:
    Roy Jones Jr.
    Pernel Whitaker
    Sugar Ray Leonard
    Oscar De La Hoya
    Mike Tyson
