I think with the shape he keeps himself in he could if he wants. But I really don't think he will because he won't want to tarnish his "legacy."

Easily, has taken barely any punishment, looks after himself really well staying in shape and has a defence orientated style that with ad******g could still hold up pretty well with a deterioration in speed/reflexes.

He would however have to accpet losing that 0 because he wouldn't stay near unbeatable but would still be well able to beat world class guys no doubt.

  3. Can't see why not... imagine if he did fight on for another 5 or 6 years and carried on winning or fighting in the big PPV fights. He'd be worth some serious dough.

He can, but he won't be undefeated. Floyd uses quite a bit of speed and reflexes, not as much as Roy, but more than people realize... I have also seen enough to believe Floyd's jaw can be cracked with the right punch.. His fights for the next few years will be very interesting.

He would still be an elite ww due to his immense skills and ability to adjust on the fly but no way would he dominate everyone in front of him. He would definitely have some losses to go along with some good wins. He does rely a lot on his speed and reflexes but as stated above, he's so smart and skilled that he would be able to compensate for some of that and still remain an elite ww.

yes, because he has the style to do so (like Hopkins, Floyd depends on ring intelligence) but ulimately he probably won't, because he's too afraid to lose his 0

The problem is his smaller frame vs the pace of the fighters in his division. Its possible to do what Hopkins did because at 6"+ he can pick fights that he can win & by moving North of 160lbs. The slower pace compensates for the increase in size of the opponents. Usually this means alot to a boxer who is not planning to get hit flush! The size increase is considered in a range prespective, not just weight!

So BHop can cope with 5'10 Cloud or Murat better than he can deal with a rangeir Dawson who is over 6" & has a long reach.

Also the pace of Dawson, Calzage is higher. So guys like Murat and Cloud under 5'10" and not exactly Meldrick Taylors are what Hopkins can do with ease.

Mayweather already maxed out his frame at 147lbs, he has to use his reflexes to make up for any defects, so for him to fight longer he has to fight smaller sized guy. However, the problem in lower weights that the more he goes down in weight the faster the pace & higher the output...which is hard to keep up as you age. So Mayweather has to wrap up things if he wants to stay undefeated...or continue but be even more selective on who he fights, basically he has to fight Older slower smaller sized guys. possibly big names from his generation who are still active

yes he can but won't. Maybe up to forty but not past it. He wants 50-0 if he gets that he is gone for sure. If he gets a loss before that point he may retire right then. He wants to be a promoter, he saw oscar do it and now he thinks he caqn do the same. His contract with showtime proves how much he wants to make the change into promotion. He will give Showtime good fights make them a real threat to HBO aqnd he hope they will help him out with TMT after he retires his gloves.

His speed and reflexes will slow down but if he continues to box late into 40s he could still mix it up and look good but would lose some fights.

I remember in Hopkins vs Pascal, Hopkins got hit with a clean left hook that woulda stunned anyone his neck kind of rotated in a circle then i think he taunted, his chin helps him get away with the stuff he does

If Mayweather fights into his 40's i think each fight he would start getting hit abit more until eventually he gets stopped
