With floyd's new fighting style he doesn't move as much... He has been known to stand square in the middle of the ring right in front of his opponent.

With this new style he has been going toe to toe with guys...
My question is cause it's going to happen once floyd.n canelo is square going toe to toe whether on the inside or at arm length reach in the middle of the ring. Can floyd hurt canelo with his power????does floyd have enough power to back him up, knock him down , or even knock him out?

he may be able to hurt him to the body. Trout hurt Canelo it appears a couple of times down there and Floyd was able to hurt Oscar with a left hook to the body at the beginning of the 11th round.
I highly doubt he'd get a stoppage, but he can slow Canelo down with that

So you are saying Floyd hits just as hard as Trout?

So Floyd will have to win on points....... Does he start out fast get a few rounds in the bank like 4 rounds....then take 2 roundsoff.then go stronger.from rounds 7-10 then coast.the last two.rounds winning 8-4 or maybe 7-5 rounds?

yes, there is reason why he stops alot of his opponents on his tracks.
He has underrated power due to him only pot shoting, if he put more combos together he would have more k.os

Not enough to worry Canelo - he'll win on skills, not by hurting Canelo though in saying that a well timed shot that isn't expected can hurt any fighter

Yeah, and a stoppage even more so. People are going to predict a brutal beat down that invariably leads to it. Unless Canelo's severely affected by two lbs, it simply isn't going to happen. He was supposed to stop Guerrero and Cotto on accumulative damage as well. He's winning on points, and I'm fine with that.

Hurt...not really. Hit him hard enough to keep him at bay...yeah.

At 152 the Catchweight King Floyd Mayweighter can hurt Canelo because he's going to be drained:lol:.

probably not, but body shots take their toll from accumulation more than from one shot. If Floyd really invests in them, he can hurt Canelo down the stretch when he's tiring.

Canelo's stance is more squared up than a normal one, and Floyd will most definitely look for his jab to the body. Remember how those resulted in the stoppage against Bruseles and Floyd was able to get him out with bigger shots downstairs later on in the fight

When Floyd goes for the body he has to worry about uppercuts and hooks from Canelo. This fight will be a chess match.

This will be a great fight!!

yes that's true. Going to the body puts you in a more vulnerable position to get countered and Canelo can counter punch pretty well. It's a reason why I thought he was the most dangerous opponent for Floyd to take right now
