    Hi guys

With the impending epic matchup between Floyd Mayweather and Victor Ortiz coming soon, I’ve been looking at some of Floyds best performances and most EXCITING performances. Fights such as the Diego Corrales, Philip N’dou, Demarcus Corley, Arturo Gatti and even the Zab Judah fight.

My main question is this can Floyd still be an Exciting fighter, We all know he can win but can he still do it in style? I do think in the Hatton and Mosley fights he showed he had the part of him left. However, now in Ortiz he faces a fighter 10 years younger than him, with the hunger Floyd once possessed when he fought the great Genaro Hernandez and when he was calling out Mosley and De la Hoya when he was still at 130lbs.

Any way guys i would just like to know what you think, thanks.

No. Well, not that he CAN'T, but more that he won't. He's a safety first fighter. He'll take the wins even if boring.

He can't perform exactly like he did earlier in his career because he's in his mid 30's now. He's more than capable of putting on an exciting performance though. However, some of that depends on his opponent. Mayweather's too old to be running around the ring. So if a guys comes after him, you'll see a good fight. He's shown the willingness to press the attack as well. I thought he tried to make the fight against Mosley. However, Mosley semed more interested in holding rather than throwing punches. If Ortiz puts it all on the line and doesn't give up and go into survival mode, you'll see a good fight.

He is 34 going on 35 so bouncing around the ring or as some people call it "Running" is not going to happen

you mean like when he needed a gift against Castillo?

It's more about the opponent than Floyd himself. With a guy as open and inexperienced as Ortiz, I think Floyd can be exciting.

Its gonna be a better fight than people think Ortiz will outweigh Floyd by at least ten pounds Floyd had trouble againts Oscar who was much bigger than him and Ortiz is faster and stronger and takes A pretty good punch as seen in the Berto fight guess we will have to see y Ortiz can all of a sudden take a punch if he gets through the OSDT ok and im sure he will and fight with the same intensity he has a good chance

HE CANNOT "BANG" WITH A VICTOR ORTIZ....

I dont think he'll fight like he did at 130 135 and 140....but I think he'll mix it up from time to time and win this fight easier than most expect!

Absolutely, if he fought Ortiz like he fought Shane he'd be KTFO. Its back to cagey for PBF, this fight will be a great barometer of his place in the game now!

We've seen no evidence of floyd being able to get ktfo by anybody, why's ortiz different? If anything, shane has more power than victor and floyd was hurt bad in their fight, yet wasn't anywhere near being KTFO. Hell, the dude's been knocked down ONCE. (Just a glove touching canvas too) Floyd will be fine banging with ortiz.
