not a chance, ward is special, the fight with dawson was a masterpiece, this time around i think it would be more one sided

Ward beats him from the outside, the inside, middle distance, beats him for speed, beats him for technique, out feints and out thinks him.

Never gonna happen for Froch. And even if he did manage to knock him out against the run of the fight, he'd be beaten in the rematch.

they could set up a ring in froch's big garden.

only fan there could be rachel, you no, froch wont want to get beaten infront of her...

Ward would still tax that sluggish ass all day, with ease.

    easy work

Ward was gassed from beating Froch's head like a kettle drum. Who wouldn't be tired bashing another guy's face for 12 full rounds?

Ward is all wrong for Froch,so i'm saying no.
Froch had some success while it was at range,Ward just adjusted, went inside, and nullified Froch.
I think Froch has the power to trouble Ward, but just don't see him landing often enough.
    Ward by UD again.

Maybe they should form a tournement where the top 6 in their weight catergory fight each other, and if they make it to the final, they can face each other, so you can have your question answered.

I don't think he can but never say never...

If the fight is in the usa then i don't believe froch will stand a chance because of the style ward has and his ability to nullify froch up close.

I think if ward fights in the uk the ref will not allow some of the spoiling he does get away with when fighting in America. This in itself will obviously change the situation and allow froch a better chance.

I mean when ricky hatton beat tyszu in the uk he was allowed to fight the fight to his strengths by the ref.. I remember feeling sorry for kostya cos i honestly don't think hatton would have got away with it if he wasn't at home. It worked against him when he fought against floyd in that cortez was not allowing anything on the inside etc.

So for me if the fight is in the uk froch stands a chance because I feel that the fight will be officiated to frochs strengths and lets be fair if he catches ward with something big then the cobra is a monster of a finisher..

    Big if though.

Buster Douglas beat Mike Tyson. Of course he can. And, of course, it's highly unlikely. But he's not in the game to be second best. He's the number 1 contender to Ward's throne, something that he's earned, and what's the point in his whole attitude as a competitor that has garnered him so much praise if it's not trying to be the best by beating the best? These poll options are unreasonable, by the way.

I wouldn't be surprised if Ward did KO Froch at this point.

It depends which Froch shows up.
The one that tries to box - NO
The one that comes to fight and apply angry aggression - YES

Carl Froch winning and defending title. The difference in the fighter?

Im a big Froch fan and you cannot fault a fighter that went into a competition called the S6 and fought every other competitor in the competition one after the other, and was fighting away 5 out of 6 fights.
No other fighter in that comp did as much.

But one thing I notice with Froch is that when he is without a title and challenging he puts in fantastic performances like against -

    Pascal
    Abraham
    Bute

but when he is defending a title he seems to be a bit lazy and not do so much look at -
Taylor behind before end, was 1-2 in last 3 fights
    Dirrell many think he lost.
Kessler coming off a loss, he did lose.
Johnson old SMW journeyman who had lost more than won at SMW, took him to a Mdec, few think he lost.
    Ward he did lose.

As a champion, before fighting Mack, Froch hadnt had one defence where before the end, the fight isnt close on the cards or he runs the risk of losing.

Froch seems to fight with a completely different intensity when he is a challenger to when he is a champ and when at home with his Nottingham support.

In Nottingham with the title to gain and if Froch is fighting with intensity I would pick him.
Ward was gassing at the end and losing the last few rounds and that was on Froch slow plodder mode.

Yes he could win, but Ward would no way go to Europe. American and American based SMWs dont seem to be able to win and tend to freeze when they go into big fights in Europe

Funny poll(results, so far), considering all of the posting here that Froch is some sort of "uberman".

Not the rematch people want to. Froch/Kessler was a brutal war, I want to see a rematch. Froch/Ward was a boring fight, forget about a rematch.
