A lot of people said that he wasn't making it past any of his last 5 opponents. I'm not saying Froch will win, but there's no way I'm betting against him. . .

I don't know, Calzaghe is considered one by many, and his record isn't as impressive as Froch's. :conf

Pac lost to Erik Morales, he avenged it twice.
Ali lost to Norton and Frazier, and then only at the end of his career.
    Lewis avenged his losses.
DLH isn't an ATG by most standards, but fought the best and lost to only the best.
Hagler lost twice in his career before holding a title, then went on a reign of terror and only lost to SRL.
Hearns lost to Haglar and Leonard until he was old, enough said.
Froch lost to Kessler and barely edged out a hometown decision against Dirrell.

You see where I'm going with this?

I would have said that Froch is quite a way from being a HOF fighter. But he could achieve it if he beats Johnson, Ward and wins 1 or 2 big fights at light heavyweight.

Calzaghe's record is better than Froch's. For a start, Calzaghe comfortably beat a prime Kessler whereas Froch struggled with a shop worn Kessler.

Also, prime for prime, it is likely that Calzaghe would have beaten Froch easily on points.

Froch does have a bigger set of balls though. By far.

Calzaghe has far better names on his resume as of yet. Eubank, Kessler, Reid, undefeated Lacy, Bika, Jones and Hopkins. Yeah, not all were prime, but still those are some good names, and some decent ones. Jones, shot or not is a bone fide ATG. That Hopkins win looks better and better with every Hopkins win nowdays. Bika just made Ward look bad. Lacy was thought to be a monster when Joe slayed the beast. Kessler was undefeated and prime. Eubank is a legend. Now, resume is one thing I don't think you can criticize Froch for, if he has it his way his list of names will be much better than Calzaghe's before he's done. The thing is, they won't all be in the win column.

If johnson win I think he will have a good case to get in the hof, I was very impressive how he was able to shred that weight and still beat green easily, didnt expect it, him ending up like jones weaker and all was more likely in my mind. Froch still has a lot of options if he loses. I think he will have a tough time at times vs johnson but in the end he will be the one to get his hand raised.
