Cant see the fight not happening now, so..

GG rattled him bad in the build up to the last fight. Carl could NOT handle being disrespected in the way he was (pre and post fight). GG was able to do this even while Carl still genuinely believed himself to be the far superior fighter. :deal

Carl can no longer laugh off GG's comments, he cant still believe in his superiority :nono:nono:nono:nono Even GG's predictions of what he would do to Carl materialised.

Fan backlash. This bothers Carl imo, lots of people will be rooting for George.

George Groves is going to try (and probably succeed) to fully fry Frochs brain in the build up to this. Big egos cant stand humiliation, Froch has a BIG HUGE MASSIVE ego.

George is a clever clever lad, he is consciously using some really intense psyche techniques on Froch.

Carls best bet, get some earplugs and avoid the media until fight night.

I could never understand why people were rattled by Groves in the whole build up thing to that fight.
Groves was not being horrible to Froch, he was saying what areas he felt he could exploit and noted Carls losses. I think Carl got a bit rattled because Groves wasnt in awe of him.
I dont know what people thought Groves did that was so wrong.
I agree Groves is clever and knew what he was doing. There was one particular thing George noted that got my attention well before the fight

Groves may have thought his gimmicks would get him a win, it didn't.....and it won't the 2nd time around. Groves got taken to the deep end of the pool and drowned.

    THIS

Groves fought a brilliant fight and although I think the fight was stopped way too early, Froch was going to finish him, you could see it.

So clever he still has to give up 10% of his purse to his ex manager...

There was nothing clever about his antics, it was all playground stuff.

Froch is perceived as this no nonsense warrior who isnt phased by anything but I dont think so. Even against Ward, you could see how nervous he was entering the ring and prior to the fight starting. He is easily phased and even his trainer mentioned that he has to calm Carl down and relax his nerves..

I've been saying this for years. THere was a video from I believe an intro to the Pascal fight where you could very clearly see he was nervous in the staredown with Pascal and the fella who does the color commentary on the British broadcasts remarked on it and mentioned how Froch was nervous as an amateur.

There's also a very telling moment in the Showtime 360 thing when after he lost to Kessler he APOLOGIZED to his wife! What the heck kind of a tough guy apologizes to his wife for losing?

    Froch is no tough guy.

That's like saying Jimi Hendrix sucked at playing the guitar because he got nervous before he went on stage.

What did you think was playground stuff that Groves did? Was it not playground stuff with Froch saying his breath stinks?
What did Groves do? I didnt think he did anything wrong but just didnt seem in awe of Carl
I recall that bit with the commentator before the Pascal fight and remember he seemed nervous.
I think Froch is a tough guy considering the shots he took off Groves

I do think it was odd that Groves wasn't permitted to say he could win or have an opinion on Froch without it being seen as disrespectful. I thought it was just confidence and the actual name calling, playground stuff came from Froch.

I mean it was far from Mayorga Vs Anyone, Chisora Vs The Klitschko's or even Degale vs Groves! Let's see how Froch behaves now Groves actually has some momentum behind him fan wise and how he reacts to the controversy of the first fight over the course of the build-up. I hope he holds it together as it'd be sad to see him do a McCall.

Groves made Froch look a right nob in the build up, hope he does it again. Froch will hate having to sit there and have his superiority complex questioned.

Froch is a grade A bellend and I hope he has his arse handed to him again.

I see Froch winning this without the refs help this time. Georges best shot was the 1st fight. Underestimated, nothing to lose, element of surprise. If Froch trains adequately on negating the overhand right, its his fight to lose. Groves stamina is slightly questionable to me, and as said if Froch takes away a massive portion of Groves arsenal, i think George might struggle. I predict a totally different fight to the 1st.
