It's possible. I heard Mayweather-Hatton did 1.2 million Box Office buys and that was on at 5am, but then again you will have a lot more fans from the UK actually going to the fight or will watch it in the pub.

However we are unlikely to know for sure as unlike HBO, Sky have no obligation to release the information (like they didn't for Haye-Vlad)

Mayweather v Hatton did 900k in the UK which was an amazing number for a fight @ 4am in the morning.

It's a big fight no doubt, not sure if it will do a million PPV buys but it will definitely get very close. The general buzz around this fight is the biggest since Haye/Wlad and that did over a million I believe.

SKY has 12 million subscribers.... but not all will have Sky Sports... which does not matter as this is a standalone PPV channel fight.

It actually did more well over 1m between 1.2- 1.4m is the reported numbers. Amazing Froch vs Groves will do about 850k i reckon

It not being on at 4am may have a negative effect on the numbers as people who aren't going to Wembley (and there are 80,000 of them) will likely go to the pub to watch it, however I believe pubs have to pay something like 170 pound more than watching it at a house (plus bare in mind it's a lot easier to find a stream these days than it was in 2007, which will obviously hinder the numbers a little)

Not a chance will it do 1M buys. That is strong strong numbers for the USA let alone the UK.
