Personally I think anything other than a stoppage would be disappointing.

Also, what is Mutleys actual name. Surely he wasn't given the name "young" by his parents.

Yeah, he'll bash him up and stop him inside six.

He's nowhere near as good as Lomax was, he's not beaten a good opponent in over five years..... Barrie Jones was very poor against him in Prizefighter.

His record looks nice, but looking a bit deeper you can see it for the mismatch that it is.

Warren must be having bother getting Gavin into the mix at both 140 and 147 if this is the best they can come up with. I don't think you'll see how good Gavin is until someone really comes to try and take his head off.... as opposed to hearing the final bell.

Didn't Gavin promise his next fight would be a step up?

Yeah, but he forgot to mention he was standing in an empty swimming pool when he said it.

    Spot on.

Franks money is going elsewhere so he cannot afford to get the likes of Theophane in the ring right now even if he did try....which he didnt.

to be fair to frankie thats what he was promised and warren didnt deliver.

i don't understand why he signed a new long term deal with Warren.

I expect Frankie wants to step up, he runs the risk of "doing a Mitchell" if he's not careful.

I'd imagine Gavin is on a fair whack too - this is the problem with these deals, Warren can't afford to get good enough opponents in for more than one of them at a time.

Hence why on the odd occasion earlier it was DeGale in with the useless journeyman and Gavin against a durable if limited European.

Now they're moving into title contention it's starting to become problematic.

Yeh. He can afford to do it with DeGale as the Smith & Groves fights do 8000+ tickets and are PPV fights (there no but).

Theophane quite rightly knows whatever Frank offers him is gonna be less than Gavin is getting, even though he is champion, and that in 6 months time the fight is worth more.

Plus the fact he didnt even offer the fight to Ashley.
