Can Golovkin bring something new to the table for the third fight?

He will bring something new definitely. You’ve seen that he fought different styles in two fights and it’s not Canelo forcing GGG in second fight it was a GGG choice to fight in this style.

People tend to underestimate GGG’s arsenal. He will come up with something new and will probably knock out Canelo as GGG will aim only for knockout win.

Why do you think he "chose" that style after all this talk about Mexican style and daring Canelo to stand in front of him with the promise of a KO?

Because it was a clear bait atleast to stop Canelo from running from GGG around ring. GGG is actually more comfortable in the style he was showing in second match, in couple of previous interviews he mentioned that his dream to box with Mayweather but not in the style he was locked to attract more fans but exactly to box. There are also differences in boxing schools, GGG reaction and couple of other things that indicate that this was his choice.

Get Canelo on the backfoot and back him up. If you give Canelo space he will just counter you. Keep pushing him back so his offense becomes limited.

Canelo is a cheating POS but he is a grade A fighter so it will never be easy to outbox him.

    Not imo.

This will be the most decisive one of the trilogy, and Canelo will, unfortunately, go down as the winner of their rivalry and be considered the better fighter.

No. The problem is he has no more gears or variation. Unless he knocks out Canelo he won't get any decision.

GGG would probably go into the third fight as an underdog, and now Canelo has truly filled out, and will go into the fight as probably the bigger guy - GGG will have to come up with someone new. But, he can, and I think he will. If the third fight does happen, GGG can knock Canelo out. He has no option but to knock canelo out. Golovkin's best best is to turn the fight into a war from the bell. Canelo will always gas before GGG. Turning the fight into a war early will most likely result in Golovkin stopping Canelo in the last half of the fight.

I'd like to see him enforce a clause where no fighter can be over 170lbs stepping into the ring.

What else can he do? He won going forward aggressively the first fight, (robbed), then won
on the backfoot in the second fight (robbed). How else can he win? He can't knock Canelo
out, Canelo has proved his mettle as far as chin. I have no desire to see them fight again.
Both should move on, Golovkin in particular it may be time to consider retirement. If he's getting
older and slowing down, there's too many boxer/punchers with quick feet at MW that would be able to expose
    his slowing down.

The only way he stops Canelo is in the late rounds after chopping the body and relying on chin and conditioning to hang in there. I doubt he can do enough but no one is imune to enough body shots. He ain't winning on points that's for sure.

He shouldn't have to. He won both fights.
He is a great boxer, I'm sure he can make adjustments yet again.
