i have a really bad feeling about this fight, everyone including cotto's team are overlooking him, he fought super middleweights, he is a tough kid that will fight, i can already imagne cotto coming in underprepared looking for a big shot.:-(

No, even a 75 percent Cotto would defeat Gomez. I am not worried about this fight at all.

I dont think Cotto knows the meaning of underprepared.

Cotto will win, but it wont be easy at any point, thats why Im so excited about going.

Gomez has no shot of winning this fight. If he were somehow to win, that would seriously derail Cotto's career.

a loss will hurt cotto really bad!!

he would become one of those low reward high risk fights, he would have to climb up the rankings from the beginning.

Cotto's chin is better at welterweight. If Mosley and Judah couldn't put him down or knock him out, I seriously doubt Gomez will. That isn't to say he can't, because anything can happen. But all things considered Gomez has less than a 2 percent chance of winning in my opinion.

Miguel cotto will definately lse eventually, but it will take a better boxer than Alfonso Gomes.

Cotto won't come underprepared. I think he has no choice but to work hard to make the weight. I haven't heard of him having any problems making 147 but you never know.

i think the fact that alfonso gomez is so hungry will make him dangerous , his also a good body puncher and i notice in the figth whit mosley he cant take body shots will see what happens

Gomez is a set-up people. He's only in there to make Cotto look good against a relatively popular fighter. Gomez may have some moments early, eventually he'll get stopped though. It's hard to go from fighting ESPN fighters straight to main event HBO fighters.

I haven't seen Cotto came in into the fight trying to land just one shot to end a fight . . . never. Even in those times when he came in really looking weigh drained at 140. He is a consistent pressure fighter.

If Gomez can stay standing and weather Cotto's punishment that will make this fight really very interesting.
