I'd be thrilled to see Gomez pull the upset, but I doubt it will happen.

Understand, Don King ruined Tyson's career, so Gomez would need someone like Don King to ruing his career. I tell you, Tyson's corner was so bad that they were using a condum on his eye! I kid you not! So, would Gomez has such an advantage?

Cotto is an excellent boxer (not just a brawler as some label him). Even if he came underprepared I think he would win. I doubt he will do it, but he wins either way imo. I will be putting plenty of cash on it too (even with the bad odds)

Yes he can. Cotto is a very good boxer. However he has bult his reputation by defeeting two guys Mosley and Judah who were not in their primes. Gomez is a young hungry guy who is being dismisssed as a "reality show participent" He will go into this fight feeling that he has a lot to prove and this will make him dangures to Cotto.

He may be overlooking Gomez a lil bit b'cause he has so many other opponents and fights in his mind and that is a always a "good" way to lose focus on the task at hand... Happens that Gomez doesn't have the physical - technical advantages that people later recognised that Douglas had over Tyson. He may have fought SMWs but not at the level of Cotto and even if we are speaking about punch impact only, Gomez himself wouldn't take a shot at 147 as well as he did at 168. He has a puncher's chance at best.

People in Gomez' last fight he stuggled against this Ben Tackie!

Ben Tackie started fighting at 135lbs and has many losses to B and C class level fighters, yet he gave Gomez a run for his money. He has never seen anything like Cotto before.

Here is Ben Tackie's recod judge for yourself:
