And you're wrong on Boxing not being a #1 sport anywhere in the world. In Latin america, boxing is the #1 Individual sport by far. also, you can't say that about any country. Any country didn't dominate basketball for 3 quarters of a a century. Or dominated track & field for 100 years. Not any country did this. not every country produced Ali, Jim Brown, wilt chambelain, Jerry West, Bill Russell, Bob Gibson, Koufax, Jordan, Magic. What countries have this kind of surplus of sports innovators that have changed the way the games are played. None.
if Haye can can negotiate a fight, where he is under no obligation to rematch or any other such **** he might be able to pull off a win against Wlad. If Haye is contracted to 3 or 4 fights he won't be able to concentrate.
Although Vitali had to retire due to a shoulder injury, he was well ahead in that fight with Byrd. And Vitali land a gazillion punches on Briggs. He looked pretty good, even though Briggs didn't look so hot. Hard to tell if Haye could stand up to Vitali. Haye hasn't really fought any top heavyweights (Valuev was kind of a freak show) to give us an accurate picture of what he can do at heavyweight. Let Haye fight Chagaev or Povetkin and see how he does.
He's no chance with either of them. Watch him fight Valuev for proof. You think Wlad would not have KO'd Haye in the performance Haye gave in that fight? Haye could not take Wlad's jab for more than four rounds :yep It's just too heavy, accurate, constant and fast. Same with the Ruiz fight, Haye allowed Ruiz to make a fight of it. Wlad would not allow Haye to make one mistake and he made several in the Ruiz fight. Vitali would easily look after Haye, I imagine Haye would be spooked easily in that fight because he knows Vitali is too good.
He can beat both of them, they're hideously over-rated. WALDO will fall after 2-3 rounds, VITLAY might last a few longer, depends when he decides to quit really.
It's not a good point at all, he's using Sam Peters speed to back up in his own mind that WALDO can deal with Haye's speed There is a more than slight difference between the two from what I've seen of both their careers.
If Haye keeps his body moving and avoids being stuck on the end of a jab, he will beat both. Beating Wlad is relatively simple because he relies on his jab for everything. He won't ever risk throwing an uppercut or hook without a stationary opponent in front of him and he relies on the jab to target his opponent. To beat him, just take away his jab. Easier said than done, as it's a great jab, yes, but it's possible and there is a gameplan. Wlad looks impressive against guys who don't move but even when he's faced very limited body movement, such as against Ibragimov, look how timid he is with his power shots. He only started throwing bombs against Thompson, Brewster and Peter when they stopped moving. He's admitted he's not a fighter at heart and because of that, he won't risk throwing shots against a moving opponent because he doesn't want to get countered. All Haye has to do, is avoid the jab and lunge in with fast combinations and he'll win.
