Well you mentioned Valuev . . . that's a very controversial SD win for Haye. I'll tell you what . . . Wlad is very far more technically skilled than Valuev :yep . . . how do you expect Haye to get through him? A hayemaker punch is his best chance.
I think that's jumping to a conclusion based on a faulted premise. Ruiz walked into punches. Always did and always came forward. Do you think it was a coincidence he didn't face any big hitters after the Tua fight? Haye was the first guy Ruiz fought in a long long time with snap on his punches. What happened? Ruiz is going to walk into punches and you cannot get hit any harder than that. As this pertains to Wladimir, he will not be walking in and at best is at the end of a Haye punch. But not walking in which always helps any puncher. Same thing happens with Haye though, if he gets caught with a left hook from this guy walking in. He cannot afford to get hit coming in but neither guy commits themselves to anywhere near the degree Ruiz did.
I hope that was a joke, because you realize that if you throw the same hard jab all the time then it can be timed by your opponent. The pawing is used to bat down punches thrown at the opponent, and also keep the opponent from getting inside. He also dummy throws the jab a lot to keep the opponent guessing. When he does throw the hard jab, it is quite hard. This content is protected Ok, nevermind, nice joke.
then perhaps if he didnt always have favourable 'home' referees he wouldnt do this - because its against the rules!!!
Hold one hand up and Wlad is so angry that you want to block his jab, that he just slaps your hand the whole night a la Ibragimov fight. Ok that was a lefty but still... Haye either slips the jab and moves around or has his right hand between the jab and his head. He will taste Wlads jab whatever he does, but it's good to hear he has a plan to minimize it.
Haye is going to use DISTANCE, AKA remember the "Sugar Nicky" fight, The running... Well multiply that by 100, I originally said by 10 in one of the previous 1000 posts about this fight, But upon further analysis of the previously mentioned fight, Haye will be on his bicycle. Yup, No fireworks here. Haye will attempt to use his movement & speed to tire out the Klit. (Then possibly unload a heavy shot ALA the Nicky fight on Wlad)
he can't take the jab away... but Haye has made a successful career out of countering jabs so he can counter it and make Wlad scared to throw
Upper cut? Wlad and uppercut do not go together! I dont think Wlad knows what an uppercut is apart from if he catches one.
IDK if he can but he needs to. Wlad works everything off the jab, if he takes it away he may be lost in the dark No fighter had taken it away, some have made it harder to land and when they do that they can trouble him. But that window only lasts for so long. Haye will have to be mobile and aggressive but that will come at a cost of tiring
his size and athleticism will help him against wlad. little guys who are quick, have power, can give the big dudes problems
