Do the math: if Barrett, a small, sloppy C-level HW with no defense and a very light punch connected to Haye's head and even stunned him,
Vitali, a 6'7" HW champion with a clubbing jab, a ridiculously high KO percentage, excellent technique, excellent defense, extensive experience at the HW level, and a rock-solid chin will retire Haye, if not kill him.

That's why Haye is probably smart going for Vitali straight away. Even he knows his chin might not hold up vs a 250lb H.W.

If he gets dropped by someone like Peter or Mcline in a tune-up then there goes the hype and there goes the big payday.

We won't know the answer to that question until it happens. Having said that, there is no reason for Haye to take a solid hit. Klitschko is not fast nor does he move exceptionally well. If Haye is stupid enough to get hit, then he deserves to get knocked out.

You're right, Wlad hit Peter harder--and more frequently--I think the jab took it's toll on Peter's mentality.
AND, he KNEW VITALI wasn't afraid...that first round did Sam in.
He just knew he couldn't get in.
Manny had Wlad fight a horrible fight.
Instead of clinching, Wlad should have unloaded left hooks, uppercuts...he fought scared.
He was lucky he survived the 10th.

I think he could put away Vitali too. I'm sure he could handle a flush shot but not many. Hopefully he does and comes out on top.

    Styles. A HW shot can/will = K.O.
    (Unless it's a Chamber's punch)

Haye got knocked down by slow ass Mormeck and by a former Super Middleweight. Vitali is going to shatter his Glass Jaw.

I think he might suprise a few people and take a few shots. Probably going down a few times like his British friend Danny Williams. But he'll show good heart and boxing smarts when he fights on. I've been impressed with how he's taken a knee and fought smart against Mormeck when he was hurt.

Danny williams though is nowhere near in Haye's league and he gave vitali a fright!

I really like Haye and I think he has a chance vs Vitali, but I think if Vitali lands one bomb it is over. Hence the reason why I think Haye should have held out for Wlad, because Haye could stop Wlad with a bomb, he will not stop Vitali with one shot and it is doubtful whether he could stop Vitali at all.

A fright?? The only fright for Vitali was how frighteningly easy the fight was!

Williams was one of the worse bums on a long list of bums.

Enzo caught haye with a right and it really got Hayes attention. If he gets caught by Vitali its trouble.
