Ah that's right I forgot he was under Goosen. Knew he wasn't under Top Rank so I jumped to the assumption he was under GB.

There are several fighters not under TR that HBO isn't letting get away, a few examples being Ward, Martinez, Golovkin.

I really don't think so. I remember reading an article a while back saying Andre Ward will be a fighter who beats all of the superstars around his weight class. I don't think he'll ever be a big PPV attraction. Doesn't have the personality for it and doesn't create much controversy with what he says. If your style is highly technical and at times, spoiling/dirty, you better have a polarizing, loud, and distinctive personality to go with it if you want to be getting a million or more buys for your fights.

...it would be really funny, though, if Ward eventually dropped the "SOG" moniker and started acting more along the lines of Mayweather and Broner - getting arrested, making it rain at strip clubs, burning/flushing money down the toilet, and generally being an abrasive *****. I'd pay to see him tell Jim Gray or Max Kellerman that they don't know **** about boxing

No there is no Oscar Delahoya at the higher weights to make him a star .

Can't see that happening. I don't think he's exciting enough inside the ring, or compelling enough outside of the ring to ever become a crossover star.

And even if there was, it's doubtful he'd be able to hold down a 1.2 million buy rate average in his following five fights, none of them against De La Hoya.

When Floyd fans talk about Floyd's money and put down Ward I find it funny cause I think Ward will have money for life
