could he break foremans record of eldest man to win title by beating david haye or does haye win?bhop would have to juice like roy did to get the proper weight/condition combination correct and yes bhop is capable.

This photo says it all really. Size isn't everything, but Hopkins usual tactics wouldn't work against the much bigger man...and after the performance against Jones, I'd say his chances were slim to none.

Yeah, 1. Foreman became the linear champion, he took a lot of fire first and he did it with POWER. 2. I ...****. Well, anyway. No. He doesn't beat any of the champions, let alone the linear one.

He'd have a much better chance against Vitali, I think.

Even a smaller version of Haye would be bad for Hopkins, because of his speed and Hopkins lack of punch output, but at least against Vitali, Hopkins is against an opponent with a huge style disadvantage. I under people think Haye is the weakest title holder, and that may be true, but he's not the easiest for Hopkins.

Obviously there is a huge size disadvantage against Vitali, but if Hopkins could get to about 210lbs easily, I think I'd half fancy the upset. Vitali is looking old now and even though Hopkins is too, he is still much fresher.

I wouldn't favor Hop against Vitali at all but I see what you mean about possibly having the best chance against him. I'd be pretty interested to see what he'd try though. It's not like he isn't diabolical as ****all.

I agree. I think his performance against Jones was really awful, but I think he exaggerated that to make the win seem a bit better. Had he destroyed Jones in one, like Green did, it would have meant less, you know?

I don't think he's anywhere near as shot as people think, which is why I'm giving him the nod over Pascal too. As for the Vitali fight, it's quite an odd one. Both men are past their best but Vitali has slowed down so much. I still think Hopkins has his legs and that movement alone is going to cause Vitali a lot of problems.

The things Hopkins still has going for him, aren't really much use against Haye or Vitali because they can negate it all with speed. However, against a slower man, Hopkins just may be able to come up with a way to win.

I'm not saying he would, but I give him much more chance. Against Haye, I'd say about a 15% chance. Against Wlad, about a 5-10% chance. Against Vitali, I'd probably go as far as between 30 and 40% chance of winning.

No chance whatsoever. He lost to Calzaghe. How in hell is he going to beat The Klits and/or David Haye?

Hop's best chance is if Audley can somehow (... I know ... I can't even type this sentence seriously ...) drop Haye and then Hopkins takes on Audley.

I don't like Hopkins' chances against Haye. Haye's got a big mouth and Klit-avoidance issues, but his size, speed and explosive punching would be too much for Hopkins at this stage of his career.

The smack-talking in the build-up would entertaining-as-all-hell, though.

If Hopkins jumps into the ring with David Haye the front of his face will hit the back of his head before he can say pension!

Im not sure he would have the stamina for it, he would be lugging around how much more extra muscle, muscle that needs more oxygen, and given the signs of fatigue he has shown at 175, It does not look good imo, thats without talking about how much slower his reflexes looked against Ornelas.

If Audley lands that 1 lucky punch would any of you rate Hopkins to beat him? He should be able to outsmart and fight the lumbering big brit.
