For years my top ten middle weights have been:
    In no order

    Ketchel
    Greb
    Robinson
    Walker
    Monzon
    Lamotta
    Steele
    Hagler
    Tiger
    Zale

With the emergence of Roy Jones Jnr and Bernard Hopkins, should I substitute them [or others,] for two of my choices.
    What do you think?

ps I won't rate Golovkin until his career is over.

Good list. I currently place Hopkins and Jones a little outside my top ten, too. Nonetheless I still have them above Steele, Zale, and Tiger, as I favor including a few fighters primarily rated in other divisions:
    1 Greb
    2 Robinson
    3 Ketchel
    4 Monzon
    5 Hagler
    6 Fitzsimmons
    7 Langford
    8 Walker
    9 Burley
    10 LaMotta
    11 Charles
    12 Hopkins
    13 Jones Jr

I'm not persuaded that his opposition was that special at 160lbs.

This...He's hit and miss at 160...He isn't dominating like others at middle. Light middle would've been perfect for him if it existed then

He did a lot of defences of the title, 20 defences between 1995 and 2005.he still has the record in the number of defences of the title.he did beat guys like an undefeated glen johnson, trinidad,de lahoya, marvin hagler rates bernard and monzon in his same level he said that on a radio interview.

Can imagine Robinson at light middle .He's probably making 15 defences easily .

For me the best ever at 147 and 154 if it existed back then lol. His form isn't stretching consistently enough for me Fergy at 160 to have him battling it out for a spot with Monzon Hagler Hopkins GGG ect.

I have Hopkins top 5 but Jones wasn't there long enough to be top 10. On a pure H2H list one could argue him forward.

This is why it annoys me when people **** on GGG's career and opposition, and praise Hopkins. Bar 1 or 2 fighters their careers are quite similar in that they had/have average opposition, with great lighter weight fighters coming up and challenging them, also they've been dominating and unquestionably no 1 for years. Not a fat lot in it at all no matter how fans cut it imo
