i picked floyd to win the fight. and i did not pick him to score a knockout. why? besides the the fact that i am a dead acurate analyst, it helped in assesing that whilst floyd looked in his training to be stronger than he's ever been, AND besides him sitting down and telling his dad "we can't let this boy go the distance.". remember that or go back to your 24/7 and see it again. knowing the fortitude that existed in marquez, i didn't buy that floyd could deliver on that front. many of you were convinced, though. to ya'll i say stop congratulating yourselves on almost getting it right.

you rewatch the 10th. be my guest. floyd was hitting juan with everything that round and undisputably was winding up for his punches. he was pulling his arms back, dawg.

but that aside. in assessing the fight, yes... floyd is highly calculating. why get hit when he doesn't have to? BUT- floyd is not playing tittilywinks in there. floyds hooks are not pitty-pat punches. floyd hit marquez with enough hooks in the 10th to stack a deck of 52.
