    1984: Tyrell Biggs
    1988: Lennox Lewis
    1992: Roberto Balado
    1996: Wladimir Klitschko
    2000: Audley Harrison
    2004: Alexander Povetkin
    2008: Roberto Cammarelle
    2012: Anthony Joshua
    2016: Tony Yoka
    2020: Bakhodir Jalolov
    2024: ??

Can Jalolov become the first super-heavyweight to win two Olympic gold medals? Cammarelle won three medals but only one was colored gold. Jalolov had also competed in 2016, but he was beaten by Joe Joyce in the quarterfinals. He won a second amateur world championship last year and has already said that he will focus on his professional career after Paris 2024.

Nikita Putilov will be his main competition. THAT will be interesting. But Jalolov has a good chance to get that 2nd Gold

Without a doubt, Jalolov differs from the others in a physical and technical sense...

I feel like he's making a mistake that he will regret one day, but hopefully it works out for him.

Who cares, it’s ludicrous this loophole jumping from “amateur” to professional and vice versa!
Keyshawn Davis did it, and lost in the final of the Olympics, yet claims to be undefeated.
Marciano, while a professional did the same in the 40’s, he returned to the amateurs but lost to Coley Wallace, then jumped back to the pro’s, stayed there, yet claimed an “undefeated” record!!!

Roberto Cammarelle would have been 2012 Gold medalist but he didn't have UK privilege.

Jalolov's on his third Olympics campaign which gives him a huge advantage over those on their first. In lead up tournaments to the IBA World Championships last year & during the IBA World Championships themselves many of his scheduled opponents elected not to face him. He's needed to keep fighting as a pro in order to get fights. Credit to the amateurs who have come out of the dressing rooms & done their patriotic duty. I think more than a few have been spooked by Richard Torrez getting flat-lined at the IBA World Championships in 2019. I think Jalolov has enough to hold anyone off over three rounds although guys who can really bang have a chance against him. Hoping our guy (who I think is a legitimate medal chance) gets drawn in the opposite half of the draw from him. If not, he's going to have to kayo him to advance.

Cammarelle should really have two Olympic golds in his trophy cabinet to rest alongside his two World Amateur Championship gold medals and his Olympic bronze and 2 World Amateur Championships bronzes and 3 European silver medals

But I wonder how many other SHW gold medalists have a full set of Olympic gold, silver and bronze medals like he does?
