Can James Degale hit..?

Yes he can hit.

 

I'd be very surprised if it was anything more than average at world level.

I think ultimately he will be a pitty patter at world level, trying to win fights through quantity rather than hurting people.

 

i think the more he adjusts to the pro game his power will increase. still slappin abit

 

NO ! hes fighting people who are suppost to get knocked out, But he will start thinking he has got power because thats what FW does with his fighters, Just like Amir Khan, Khan has limited power if you ask me, But he thinks he is a knockout artist because of the bums he was fighting on the way up and blowing them away.

 

I think DeGale's going to shock alot of people and end up very very good indeed.

I agree with this. I always say skills pay bills and the lad has skills my one worry was he was eating jabs against a novice journeyman and i think a lot of that's down to his trainer and his tactics..i still don't think he's with right trainer for his style. If you watch him use the shoulders in the pocket to create and use angles...a lot of prospects in this country don't do them type of things.

Watch the first round of the other night the guy hits him with two jabs and i thought to myself how can a supposed stylist get hit flush with jabs like this. I agree he hasn't been tagged yet but that will come in time then we will see what he's made of. I don't think he will knock people out like other fighters coming up will. He will stop guys on accumulation of pin point shots but i don't see him blasting guys out. He's a counter puncher who at the moment is having to attack guys and try entertain so i give him props for that.

 

All of them have said he doesnt hit hard, its just his accuracy, and there blown up super featherweights, Khan is a genuine lightwelterweight.

 

Ask most of Amir Khan opponents who he has stopped and they will all say the same thing, Khan doesnt hit hard he's just accurate and because hes knocked a few featherweights and super featherweights he thinks hes got the power. Thats what is going to happen to James Degale. IN FACT Degale is saying hes got loads of power already.

 

I dont think he is heavy handed but he also seems not to always clench his fists inside the glove, that can make a big difference, infact you would be surprised just how much.

Ultimately he wont be a big hitter at World level though.
