This question is- CAN he? Yes! He could. Will he? Well, he says he's going to brawl. So the question is, will he even try to outbox Pavlik?
And once you get the answer to that, you need to know, how multi-dimensional is Pavlik? Is he going to fight the EXACT same fight as before, knowing that he got him the win once?
If Pavlik DOES, and Jermain DOESN'T, then it depends on Pavlik's adaptability in the ring, something he hasn't really had a chance to show yet, IF it exists at all.

So, YES, it is a possibility, in the right circumstances Jermain Taylor could outbox Pavlik for 12 rounds.

I disagree. Pavlik has one punch ko power. When he hits people they stay hit. Even the Julian Jacksons and Tommy Hearns of the world could not ko everybody in one punch. Both Taylor and Miranda have great chins and it took an accumilation of bombs to stop them. However, I have seen Kelly starch guys with punch. You just can't expect that in every fight.

If anything I think Pavlik would outbox him. Fighters boxing skills seems to diminish in the ring when their opponent can put them out with 1 punch. He needs to KO him.

There is no way this fight will go the distance. These guys are goint to try to knock each other out. I do not see this being a tactical points fight. They will not be worried about who won the round, they will be waiting for the opportunity to throw that hard knock out blow, or combo. If for some crazy reason it does go the full 12 I don't think JT has enough stamina to keep up with Pavlik.

What I want: JT KO 7
What I feel: KP TKO 6 (after JT goes down twice in the round)
