Yeah of course he can, he got beat by a bigger man…no different than Canelo did when he fought Bivol. Whether he “will” who knows, but he certainly can. He did his best and lost, it’s boxing.

Bunch of weird takes in this thread. So Charlo was supposed to stand there and be Canelo’s punching bag? He did what he could, it wasn’t enough, he rightfully lost, that’s how fights go sometimes.

They really did accomplish alot considering as you pointed out they were not hyped at all coming out of the amateurs.
Its a shame about Jermall as I see a very sad ending coming and your right Jermell shouldnt have fought at that weight but who can blame him for taking a huge payday?
Thats why Canelo gets on my nerves there always sems to be some catch with his fights. Benivades is begging for a fight with him but Canelo goes this route instead.
I am almost certain Canelo never fights Benivades.

Actually i think he can. If he goes back down to 154lbs and defeats Tszyu, then fights Crawford and accounts for himself real well, i think everybody will forget the Canelo fight and chock it up as Canelo is just much bigger and greater. Lets just say, the Canelo fight will age well for Canelo.

I agree with this. Granted, on the one hand, I expected more offense out of Charlo. But on the other hand, Canelo looked fantastic and Charlo going into survival mode, well it didn't ingratiate himself to the fans who came to see a fight, but it was smart.

And that's how it goes. I would say this - Jermell Charlo doesn't have anything to apologize about. He fought the fight that he chose to fight, but at the same time, he can't complain about being criticized for fighting how he did. As a Jermell fan, I know he could have done better, and I really think he should have came in lighter, I think it would have made a difference. But it is what it is. Another brilliant performance by Canelo against a quality opponent.

A cult . . . of Christianity? Of having faith in the bible and what it says about the earth?

I'm not in charge at all. But the bible does speak about deceivers here on earth. And not falling prey into false narratives that go against Jesus and what he teaches. You my friend, well lets just say you're not exactly in good shape when it comes to practicing what the bible preaches.

Jermell Charlo is finished as a big money fighter. There is no further intrigue in seeing him on such a stage, and he is already 33. He is not known to possess Spartan-like discipline, so he pretty much near the end.

I wish he would've taken this opportunity as more than a cash grab and acquitted himself with the dignity of someone who had earned an undisputed title, but he didn't. He will never live this down from a marketability perspective. Never.

And shame on Canelo for making this fight that not one person was clamouring for. He deserves some of the stench, and I hope it drives him to finally fight David Benavidez.
