He doesn't belong at 168 man never even had a get used to the weight at 168 let alone 160. He did his thing at 154 though.

No excuses he agreed to the fight at 168 and told everyone he was daring to be great but instead fought like a *****. The only thing he has done at 154 recently is duck Tim Tszyu.

Keep believing that if you want to caneko and Crawford are bigger draws and better fighters than Tim. If Tim was in the same position he'd fight Crawford and canelo over charlo.

The difference is if Tim had fought Canelo he would actually try winning the fight and not go out like a ***** the way Charlo did. That's why it was a duck Charlo had no intention of winning the fight he just wanted the pay day.

It is indeed true that the quiet ones, the silent assassins like myself, those who do not brag about how big and tough they are or feel the need to do so, how badass they are, are the real alphas and the ones to be feared and be wary of not the dog who barks the loudest or longest

We have a proverb over here

'Empty vessels make the most noise'

    And it's true

Look at silent assassins like Inoue, Usyk, Crawford, and Beterbiev for example. They generally do their talking in the ring and the reason they don't bark and feel compelled to try and convince everyone how big and tough they are is because they actually know they are. They possess that steely self-belief and self-confidence from knowing who they are and what they're capable of doing.

Sure, Usyk doesn't possess the savage power of Beterbiev and Inoue or to a lesser extent Crawford (which is a big advantage for any fighter to have) but his self-belief is off the charts. He's one of the most mentally strong fighters ever and that inner steel and unshakable self-belief radiates from him and when you stare into your opponent's eyes and cannot detect the merest trace of fear in them, even when you're way bigger and heavier than them, that is very intimidating.

Beterbiev is a bit different to the rest of those guys because his fearsome reputation precedes him. Not only does he sport that daunting KO 100% record whist simultaneously being a three-belt unified champion, and having dropped every man he's fought, but we have all the sparring rumours and so many first-hand accounts regarding his unreal power from fighters who've shared a ring with him as well.

And in addition to that he really looks the part too. He looks so physically strong and beastly and even though he's very soft spoken he's extremely menacing in a low-key way when he wants to be intimidating.

Whereas, conversely, as powerful a puncher and beastly as Inoue is he looks like a metrosexual FTM K-pop star who watches TikTok videos and paints his nails. But he exudes total self-belief and his savage power, ninja precision and KO HL reel is very intimidating.

Crawford radiates that same alpha inner steel and supreme self-belief too.

He's damaged goods for sure, but that still might be enough for him to overcome Tszyu. I can't wait to see the backpeddling on here once Tszyu takes a defeat, people claiming they knew he was never that great.

But from Charlo's POV, he has to rebuild mentally. It's similar to Chad Dawson limping back to 175 after getting shellacked by Ward at 168, albeit Dawson actually tried to beat Ward and had to recover physically as well. Charlo by contrast didn't take too much damage, but it's a question of how deep he's willing to dig at this point in terms of training, discipline and warrior mentality in the ring.

Well @shadow111 promised us all the FIGHT OF THE YEAR:confused::duh

Charlo landed a few good shots but he never tried to fully win a single round. I’m just impressed he was able to run and survive 12 rounds

I didn't promise you anything silly boy. I said it COULD be a classic, but Jermell did NOT deliver the fight that he promised or what he was capable of. He fought a very cautious fight which was disappointing, but one thing I did get right that it would go the distance. If he was more aggressive, it would have been a better fight but he was unwilling to take risks. Still, he fought a smart fight, went 12 rounds didn't take no punishment. Was it the fight I had hoped for? ABSOLUTELY NOT. I wanted to see him fight like he did against Castaño in the rematch.

Well neither of those fights are likely to happen. Bud called him a coward and is not interested and he’s flat petrified of Tszyu.

Charlo is a con. A fraud. A fake.

    He’s finished.

I predicted it would go the distance, while most thought Jermell was getting KTFO. My prediction was correct, other people's weren't. Now granted, I was optimistic that it would be far more competitive than it was. But there are reasons for why it wasn't.

I don't have a crystal ball, I can't predict how dudes are gonna fight, but I'm not gonna apologize for being excited about this matchup, even though it turned out to be a letdown. This had the potential to be a classic, but Jermell just didn't bring that fight. I'm still a Jermell Charlo fan, and I'm not gonna jump off the bandwagon because he chose to play it safe against Canelo. GGG also played it safe against Canelo last September, and it went the distance too in an equally one-sided fight despite the judges scoring that one closer.

Fact is, Canelo instills fear in fighters and often causes them to fight more defensively than usual. Despite Jermell not fighting as aggressive as he could have, he still fought smart and showed good skill in there. But a lopsided decision was not what I expected, but it's always a possibility when Canelo is involved. Another factor in all this was that Canelo looked way better than he's looked in years, probably since the Saunders fight, especially stamina wise. A lot of people who gave Jermell had a chance thought Canelo was slipping, or saw Charlo having a chance to do well in the 2nd half of the fight if he could survive the early onslaught. Turned out Canelo didn't gas as all, possibly because Charlo didn't really take him into deep waters like he could have. I wasn't exactly sure what version of Canelo would show up, but he clearly was on his game, which only made things harder for Jermell.
