Can Joe Calzaghe get beat?

I dont think he can , you just gotta look at the way he fights for any boxer close to his weight he is to fast and strong with defence skills you can name any boxer in the weight class above or below super middle weight and they wont match up 2 joe calzaghe! I dont know who can beat him?:bbb

 

Hopkins can beat him, but its not a certainty by any means.

Bhop is an expert against southpaws and can use a lead right hand perfectly, and Joe can be vulnerable to this.

He's also a natural light heavy and very hard to hit. He also can fight dirty and rough Joe up.

However, given Hopkins age and Calzaghe's workrate, I give the Welshman the most chance in a bout, but Calzaghe is not unbeatable. No boxer is.

 

Ofcourse no body is unbeatable but you have to look at what he brings to the ring skills, experience , determination , strength and speed how many punches will it take from joe calzaghe on b hop to realise that 150 hits a round will make a painfull end to B Hops career

 

Dawson can do it, not right now because Dawson and Calzaghe have upcoming fights. But once (or if) they ever meet in the ring Dawson has a very good chance of beating Calzaghe.

 

bhop has just as much ring skill and experience
jc is probably more determined
hopkins is strong at light heavy...we dont know how strong jc will be
speed can be nulified with timing
workrate can be negated with defence

and jc doesnt even throw 150 a round, let alone land. dont get carried away. Calzaghe is a living legend, but he isnt a god.

 

The problem here is B Hop can be outworked.If Taylor can do it Joe will be more effective with it.B Hops punch output is too low and his too conservative these days.His excellent against southpaws and is a crisp precision puncher but at his age i cant see him being effective enough to hold JC off.If this fight was 6 years ago my money would have been on Hop to stay on his chest and maul the **** out of Joe.But it may be too late.

 

im not saying he is a god but B Hop couldnt even beat Jermain taylor what chance he got against joe calazaghe n u gotta realise that Jc is not a natural super midle weight he is actully light heavy just struggles to make the weight so in comparison JC has got to much to give to hopkins than hopkins can give JC

 

Of course he can. As of today, the best to do it would probably be Dawson.

 

Bad Chad Dawson has not got the experience to beat calzaghe , JC to smart and maybe even beat him on stopages

 

I agree I'd favour Calzaghe over him at the moment to. But Dawson's probably still the best chance at the moment, nonetheless.

Any fighter can get beat. Let alone Calzaghe. :yep
