Sugar Ray waited 5 years, got voted to the Hall of Fame.
Came back and fought The Macho Man. Unfortunately He was KO.:dead:twisted:
With that being said, Can Joe (after he's in the Hall) come out of retirement and defeat Ward and Froch?

It sounds crazy, but maybe Joe has a little magic left.:bbb

Huge Calzaghe fan, but he's lost the spark and motivation, and I"m sure a good deal of speed, both hands and legs after years away from the ring and training. He survived on that. It's no wonder he got dropped by Hopkins (and by Jones' forearm, lol). He's checked out. Ward would beat him in every department at this point. Froch is in his prime - a very limited fighter - but a very limited fighter in his prime. He'd lose to both. Calzaghe is done. full stop.

It would be shocking to say the least if he did return, but that is unlikely. He's fat and rich and for what reason...It would most likely take 100million reasons and that ain't gonna happen.

I almost bit on that one.

I don't have to bring Ray down to prove that Joe is Great

his jowls have filled up in that fortysomethings way. Its impossible or next to impossible to lose all that fat now.

he retired at the right time, he would have got spanked out by Froch and Ward.

    Joe is not great.

    Great fighters do great things.

Hiding behind a WBO crap strap for 10 years fighting the likes off Tokker Pudwell does not a great fighter make.

"Beating" Hopkins doesn't do it....Jermain Taylor did that...TWICE....you might as well call him great while your halucinating.

A win over what was left of RJJ doesn't cut it either...
Joe didn't go near him until he was knocked COLD twice by fighters he(Joe)wouldn't go near.
