How would it go if Joyce fights Dubois again for the belt?

If Dubois needs to wait, and Joshua 2 is not on the cards ... this could be good matchup.

Joyce get's an undeserved chance, and Dubois get to hopefully avenge a loss and set things straight on his record.

Dubois has obviously improved a lot but in Joyce's case, he beat him before, he can beat him again.

I think Dubois would win but I also thought Dubois would win the first match.

I'd go for Dubois KO due to Joyce's decline and lack of confidence in his chin, combined with Dubois' recent elevation to the very top level. It's like he's woken up and refuses to be denied, I was never a Dubois fan but he is looking really good. Not sure how long it will last but he is definitely on a roll.

Dubois has improved significantly. Joyce has declined significantly. Dubois would be a strong favourite.

Joyce looks finished to me, best thing he can do is stay busy, and rebuild his confidence fighting D+ , C- fighters .
Then hopefully he can get a cash out fight.

Styles make fights and Joyce still has a solid chin. Joyce wins by late stoppage with his jab.

It doesn’t look like he have a solid chin anymore since he lost 3 of his last 4 fights, 2 by KO and even though he lost on points in his last fight, Joyce was dropped there as well.

Joyce shouldn’t be considered an opponent as of now but DD stops JJ if they fight again.

Name another heavyweight that would survive the same punch landed on Joyce 2.

Tbh the Chisora loss was very close and Joyce came in poor condition. The styles don't mesh well either as Chisora loves fighting against the ropes.

We have to be careful not to overrate Dubios.

No you’re right but for someone that do all his defense with his face it’s bound to fail sooner or later and DD punches as hard (if not harder) as Chisora.

Anyway, Joyce have to win a few times before he be considered a title challenger. The fight to make (I think and I think you agree) is DD vs Parker, that should be a great fight.

Joyce is shot mentally and physically, he wouldn’t’ve lost to Chisora a few years ago, but the Zhang knockout took something from him, he still seems up for it in interviews, but his performances suggest otherwise.
I picked Joyce to win the first fight, but would heavily favour Dubois now.
