I've heard a few people say that Froch can't fight up close and Johnson will rough him up on the inside. But then i think of when Magee and Dodson, albeit not as good as Johnson, tried to rush at Froch and bully him up close he knocked them both spark out with uppercuts. I thinks its 1 of the best punches in Froch's arsenal even though he throws it from crazy angles at times, and its punch really open to him in this fight because Johnson attacks in straight lines. I think Froch can easily take care of himself up close, just has not really had to so far.
Johnson is a different animal. He's much more experienced and has an astounding chin. I could see him getting inside.
But his footwork is none to clever. He doesn't have a very tight defence when he comes forward and punches do get through and still not convinced Glenn makes 168 comfortably and going in against a live, powerful, career 168lb fighter in Froch well it could get rough for him down the stretch.
Johnsons a very good fighter and a very tough man but hes well past his best now and Froch should win wide.I think Allan Green is crap yet I had him winning his fight with Johnson at the time of the KO.
I do expect Froch to win on points, if he were to get the stoppage then I think it will depend on whether Johnson is struggling at the weight.
froch has said he will box,keep it at range,but if johnson does get inside/get allowed to come inside,froch can go to war fine enough,his uppercuts are viscous,his chin,heart and fight is impressive. The pascal fight was a lot inside fighting/just going to war,pascal has top power,and froch managed to out war pascal. A lot of people get drawn into tough close fights with johnson,i think froch will use very smart aggression and make the fight not close.
