On the subject of Cortez he was correct. There was nothing vicious in any of those punches landed by Arce. The only danger was how tired Vasquez was himself, clearly the corner were well placed to make a judgment and did so. But from what took place, Cortez didn't have a lot of reason to jump in when Vasquez was trying to move his head and throw back in the last round of a grueling fight.

Must suck for Vasquez still throwing back ref is content as he should be in the fight continuing he was up on the cards still and his own corner ends it all for him. Rematch has to happen. Vasquez left hook to drop Arce was perfect.

I think Arce would have got the stoppage even if the corner hadn't have stopped the fight.

That. Arce was throwing so many punches when he looked so tired too. Vasquez got in a solid right hand too off the ropes but Arce threw so many. Arce looked so big in there like Calderons last fight with the size difference.

Two judges had the fight scored a 104-104 draw, while a third had Arce ahead by five points - 107-102.

Really? Gonna have to go back and score it again. It was early :D Can't see how Arce was up by 5 he must be up then by 7 rounds with the kd. And he definitly didn't win opening rounds. Hmmm. :dead
