Linares is one of the hottest prospects in the featherweight division right now after his destruction of Oscar Larios. Do you think he is capable of beating the big guys like Jmm at this point of his career?

Just too soon. If you're a Linares fan or team member.. Its not something that you would want to find out.

I think he can. With almost all prospects you can find at least one flaw but I just can't see one in Linares. I really think he's going to go a long way.

No, maybe in 2 years or so, but Juan Manuel Marquez is technically better and way more experienced.

I agree, he needs to fight Chris John & Alex Arthur first.

I wouldn't completely write it off, but wouldn't bet on it either. Linares may well be good enough already, but needs a test to prove himself at that level first.

Alex Arthur is not in the picture other than with Joan Guzman

I was very impressed with him against Larios, that was the first time I saw him fight. I wouldnt put him in there with JMM right now. I think he should defend his belt a couple of times, then see where hes at. He is still very young(turns 22 tomorrow). He might be ready for JMM in late 08 or sometime in 09.

Okay for a prospect of his age he is great but no flaw ? , I can give you two . 1. he is way to easy to back up and be forced to the ropes and 2. his defense isn't great and he can be hit quite easily .

He would give Marquez a tough fight but I don't think he's ready for it yet, but I think Linares will be on top of the heap in a couple of years.

    But my answer is no.

I actually wouldn't mind seeing Linares-Juarez. But that fight wont happen since Juarez blew his last 3 chances at a title.

Jaurez would beat him in my opinion, the pressure would get to Linares, who doesn't have the punch to keep him off as Juarez's chin is one of the best around.

Juarez is not bad at all, he's just been thrown into wolves and hasn't come out successful because he's not on the elite level. Linares also is not on the elite level.

Nah, he whips Juarez, but Marquez is too crafty and experienced right now.
