Juarez is too easily hit and slow. He would get killed coming in. Linares handspeed is WAAAAY too fast for a fighter like that.

JMM whips him right now. juarez would be a tough test the waters fight at 130, as he's a durable guy and has very good power.

I'd take JMM right now, but Linares would whip the **** out of Juarez. Soto who I don't think is as good as Linares beat the **** out of Juarez, and they are both stick and move boxer punchers, I think Linares speed and technical savvy would be too much for Juarez.

Other people brought up Juarez, I think it's dumb for anyone to think Rocky could beat Jorge.

Well it is Amsterdam. He doesn't like the way Linares has a lot of early fans while his pet fighters have almost no hype. So he refuses to see Linares with open eyes.

It's gonna be a tough fight, 65% JMM and 35% Linares chance of winning.

    It's 90% JMM actually.

Linares lacks the defence and what I presume to be chin to defeat Juarez, but that's not a definite, just a hunch on my part from what I have seen. Linares is overrated.

I'd be extremely confident that JMM KO's Linares in 5 or less.

Soto has better power, defence, reach, height and chin, Linares has more speed but it'd be useless against Soto's solid jab.

His right hand is not straight, quicker, or more powerful than JMM's and his timing is not even in the same stratosphere.

I think most knowledgable posters will agree that JMM's right hand is vastly superior. Linares' defence and head movement isn't as good as JMM's either, nor is his timing and delivery.

It's futile to compare a great fighter to nothing more than a good fighter.

Well we must consider the age factor too. Accuracy and skills definitely goes to JMM but the younger Linarez is capable of giving JMM a very tough competition.

When you give him only 10% chance, that's almost no chance at all. :D

But JMM looked sharp against Juarez, his timing and speed is still very good and still of elite quality.

After seeing Linares stunned by Diaz, I'm imaging what an experienced puncher like JMM will do with those straight right hands and crushing uppercuts. A competitive breaking down of Larrios is not even in the same universe as facing JMM.

So yes, I give him almost no chance at all, Linares is simply not that good, he's vastly overrated and when he gets destroyed all of the people who acted like he was the next big thing just because he broke down a fading 'recognisable name' in Larrios will act like they didn't think much of him and act like it was no big deal at all.

What is the deal with Jorge Linares? There are so much better examples of talent that deserve more praise and hype.
