Can Jorge Linares become a world champion at 140?

    With the WBA & IBF being contested in the WBSS. The two possible routes Linares can go is the WBC route (Jose Ramirez) and WBO route (Hooker/Saucedo winner). And so do you guys think Linares can become a champ at light welterweight?

    Don’t forget the wba could always make him a “Regular” title like they were planing too do for him at 135

    This. 140 is a really weak division, so he could definitely become a champion

    Maybe , but not by beating Taylor or Prograis.

    probably. i dont think he could ever be undisputed there, he lacks the power and durability to beat le creme.

    It’s stronger now than in recent years, Taylor, prograis, Ramirez and even Postol would be a hard fight for Linares maybe even a step too far

    With the kind of political play Broner had he could easily. I would be against him vs Taylor or Prograis though.

    Yes if he cherry picks the right champ. I think Ramirez, Prograis, Taylor, Relikh beat him. He has a good shot against Hooker vs Saucedo winner for the WBO belt and Baraynchuk vs Yigit winner for the IBF belt.

    No chance, he isn't tough enough for 135 so would get torn up in 140
