It looks like the new era is here and Parker is getting old. Can he last the distance ?

    I can't see many handling Itauma's onslaught.

Joyce had beaten Parker black and blue for 11 rounds, Parker looked so pathetic and helpless inn that fight.

Itauma will mercy Parker and put him into a peaceful sleep without hurting him too much in 3.

Parker would need to be extremely focused to last all the rounds, I think Itauma would stop him between the 8th and 12th round...

If he came in shape and fought smart? Yes.

If he tried to do a repeat of Joyce/Wardley he gets stopped inside 8-10 rounds. He can take a lot of damage.

Parker is a seasoned boxer, but he has taken a good amount of punishment in his career and has fought a huge amount of punchers. Very possible that his punch resistance took a big toll from his last fight against Wardley.

The only thing we know about Itauma is that he is very dangerous for a couple rounds. We don't know if Itauma has a chin, or stamina - and lots of other variables on top of that. So, its hard to answer your question right now. Parker for all the huge punchers he has fought, has only been stopped twice and both in the 11th round. Meaning Parker could well be the man to test Itauma's stamina here.

If Parker fights his best fight which is boxing off the back foot and his punch resistance is still good enough, he could very much gas Itauma out and knock him out late. But, if Parker's ego insists on standing and trading with a very dangerous two-rounder - he'll get knocked out early.

I would get rid of 'Itauma is overrated' next to 'Yes' here to answer your question.

Parker lacks the counterpunch to keep itauma off enough to get the necessary breathing room. It might be why they chose franklin. Also little danger of surprises coming back.
Also his stamina isnt the greatest and I dont see him depleting itauma.

At this point i see hrgovic, dubois, kabayel and usyk as fights to be avoided, because they can survive and then come back later in the fight.
But also fighters like adeleye could find a surprise.

The most useful matchmaking for itauma should actually be fighters like Parker who stay in the fight for a long time, but dont find that second wind to ko an exhausted itaume in the late rounds or find a counter punch that stops itauma

Gassiev should ve fine, too, since he walks slowly and has little range and will not be able to stand itaumas punches very long because of his smaller frame.

Parkers stamina is top 3-5 in the current HW division.

He has proven on many occasions he can last 12 rounds.

Itauma was huffing and puffing after 5 rounds. Now, in spite of countless onslaughts from Wardley, who is arguably a bigger puncher than Itauma, Parker still almost saw the final bell. If Itauma blows his wad trying to get Joe out of there, it might be him not seeing round 12.

    Ituama has beaten nobody

He's becoming another bum dosser hypejob if people want to blow him up to be more than he is proven to be. If he doesn't step up his competition for his next bout nobody will care how good or not he is.
