Again its a battle between Great Britain and New Zealand in a pivotal Heavyweight fight, that shapes the landscape and gets us one step closer to an Undisputed champion, with the inclusion of all 4 major sanctioning titles which I believe will be a first if it actually happens.

First of all Lewis-Tua were two of the more dominant heavyweights in the late 90's early 00's, and the division clamored for this clash of styles that would pit the boxer-puncher against the knockout Artist. It was highly anticipated by many of the hardcore boxing fans who thought that Lewis could have been toppled by this destroyer know as the Tuaman. Boy were we in for a big disapointment.

It started off with Lewis establishing the jab and keeping the aggressive tua at bay. Tua weaving in and out trying to land the one shot that could drop Lewis kept applying pressure and even landed a few shots here and there but nothing that could deter Lewis from the plan at hand. Which was to outbox this guy, which he did throughout 12 rounds and won a very uneventful and lopsided UD.

FAST foward almost 17 years later, and the two nations get ready to do it again. This time 2 undefeated champions in their prime and with more fan friendly styles, put it all on the line to get one step closer to a new Lineage in the division. Now I really think this has the makings of a classic. Both fighters have heart, determination and the will along with Flaws that are a recipe for "Spontaneous combustion"!( Thanks Larry) But just because the fight looks great on paper doesn't always mean it will deliver the goods.

What do you guys think? Will Joshua-Parker deliver or will we get another snoozer Like Lewis-Tua?

The only way this will be a snoozer is if Parker is out of his depth with Joshua. If Parker can be competitive then you bet this will be a hell of a fight. Someone is hitting the canvas at some point that is the only sure thing here.

If you think this will be two come forward fights clashing in the center of the ring prepare to be disappointed. Parker might end up having the chin some people claim he has but that doesn't change the fact that he doesn't enjoy being hit. He's will be on his bike early looking to counter and his output will more than likely slow as the fight progresses.

Lewis was perfectly fine with slow drawn out fights , controlled fights going by decision wins. Against Tua he was content with 12 rounds just like his Holyfield fights.

Joshua is not that kind of fighter , he's even more willing to try and end fights more than Mike Tyson was BC he doesn't let opponents coast not even after mid rounds. He will go at you long or short distances and wants you to get close in clinches, it would make fights much easier for him.

No way does this resemble Tua fight, BC if Parker is still standing at the end we should see him take quite a beating here. Unless Parker version 3.0 shows up that's what exactly is going to happen.

Drenlou this is a really poor comparison bro.

How did you dream this up and why do you think it could be a 12 round snoozer?

Joshua doesn't even know how to fight a snoozer yet. He gets tired every fight and starts throwing hayemakers.

Nice write up. I do believe there is no chance of a dull affair. Merely due to the fact that both guys are closer in size than bloody Tua Lewis. Tua lewis was meant to be exciting because of Tua. He was simply too small to have an impact. Parker Joshua has two players, one that is exciting and one that can be exciting and one of them isn't a foot shorter than the other. It has too many ingredients for being an eventful night. If it is surprisingly dull, then maybe expectations will exceed the event. But, Tua Lewis is a paragon of dullest title fights in history and will be hard to top in terms of expectations not reached.

Hah I loved Lewis after that fight :
"I was doing all the work in the fight. If you come to war, you have to bring your whole arsenal, not just a left hook and a haircut."

As for the fight in question it should surpass the Lewis Tua fight. In that one it was apparent from pretty early that it would be tactical jab fest and the only real drama was the super small chance Tua could land something big to turn it around.

Well, when it comes to heavyweight, we will just have to wait and see.
It could be a war, or tactical, it could be a jab fest or it could be a hug fest. Hard to say lol.
Who knows Joshua Wlad would deliver FOTY type of event, most of Wlad fight has been a grab and hug fest.
To me most of the excitement usually comes from the build up, when they agree to get it on and anticipation of how the fight might go.
I'm excited that we have 2 top fights in March. Hopefully the fights are equally exciting.

To answer your question precisely, which is: will Joshua/Parker be a snoozer as bad as Lewis/Tua. Then yes I believe that possibility exists but highly unlikely, and virtually impossible to the same degree as Lewis Tua. Joshua won't stink up the place. Parker might go into his shell if he doesn't want any of it.

There's no "AGAIN" here though, Lewis v Tua was Canada v New Zealand !
