yea one of the main reasons mexican fans hated oscar so much was mainly because of the chavez bout, but I think DLH won the crown as a mexican when he defeated Vargas who talked **** about him about how he wasnt mexican.

He also lost some cool points with them after the Tito fiasco.

What's missing? Good marketing and good opponents.

Diaz is another exciting action fighter . . . but DoN King is busy with other bullshits and sleeping on his job on Juan. Good he is already out of Diaz' career.

I think he will definitely become a PPV star... he has a very exciting style. He will appeal to both american and mexican fans. All he needs is some more exposure against top opposition. Putting forward an exciting performance today against Campbell is essential.

de la hoyas main reason to fight chavez was so that you'll get a passing of the torch effect...but sadly chavez was so far passed it that he stopped him which made him hated even more....it was a long long times i think the vargas fight was the one where he got a majority of mexican fight fans on his side

difference with Diaz and Raheem is one is boring to watch, and the other is very entertaining. All Diaz needs is to fight a big name and win, someone casual boxing fans will know; not just die hard boxing fans. If he fights Pacquiao, or a Hatton and wins, I think he's a superstar.

    J. Diaz needs a good promoter who is after his welfare. Don King doesn't fit that bill. Basically, he needs to be marketed. Marketing is part of every business and boxing is business.
