juan diaz is ranked number 1 in the light weight 135 category

hatton is ranked 1 in the juniour welterweight 140 category

could juan diaz be able to be effective moving up to fight hatton or would hatton simply muscle him out

i agree juan diaz fights close but throughs effective punchs when in range

i think he will be able to fight however hatton fights just will hattons body punchs where him down as hatton would probally take diazs punchs with ease n just keep on coming

Nope hattons bigger and stronger and Diaz would fight Hattons fight
The ring would only have to be the size of a phone box but a good big man always beats a good little man. If diaz was slick, hard to hit and a good boxer then he would have a chance but you aint gunna out power hatton and while i think hes stamina levels are beginning to fall he can still set a good pace from round 1-9. Both are inside fighters so i dont think reach would be an advantage cant see Hatton loosing this one tho it could be a good fight

Juan diaz also covers up n has good defence when inside aswell , he could limit the amount of body punchs hatton could through n if he can stay effective by landing more blows then hatton so i say diaz would win on points

I think Hatton would have enough to beat Diaz, but it would be a great fight to watch. Personally, I think Diaz will dispatch Pacquiao, but Hatton will be too big for him and will wear him down after an early onslaught.

very much doubt that diaz could cope with hatton at 140,hatton is still a worldclass fighter and furthermore a great inside fighter, getting beat by pbf does not change this, and he would simply have to much power for diaz.

Doesnt matter as Hatton was and always will be a wrestler that punches once in a while...Just as PBF gave Hatton a boxing lesson Juan would give Hatton a brawling lesson showing him how a REAL fighter fights on the inside...Juan pummels Hatton in a fight similar to the Jose Cotto fight:good

I don't think so, at least not now.

Diaz would get outmuscled on the inside. I think Hatton's strength advantage would show and he would catch Diaz with the harder shots to the body and the head.

Hatton would simply bulldoze him. I see Juan winning about 3 rounds and Hatton winning a UD

Good fight for the near future. I don't think Hatton runs over him like some people here believe. It would be very competitive. How many shots can Diaz connect before and after the clinch would be the question here.
