Overwhelm him with non stop combos?

You talk as if Hatton is not a mobile fighter. It is Hatton who is going to bully Diaz and push him back. The question is . . . can Diaz fight effectively while he is being pushed back?

Diaz doesn't have power to knock out Hatton with a single punch, so there's no way Hatton's gonna have problem walking right over him.

Diaz isn't Floyd. Hatton would find angles to land that money shot to the rib cage. I like Hatton on this one, but it would def. be an entertaining bout.

Diaz is not to be underestimated though. His work rate is incredible, and he has excellent defence on the inside. How would that D work against a fighter that's wrestling and trying to get you out of position to land his shots though?

He could land combo after comb on Hattons face every time Rick trys to jump in to dig a shot and clutch hug. Hatton throws no combos he throws and holds. But if 3 4 5 punch combos are bouncing off his face on the way in, and I think Hat has a suspect chin? just a hunch, I say Diaz has a great chance, Diaz is a husky little guy who was an original 140 Jr he has enough strength to handle Hatton. I think he takes Hatton and Paquiao.

It depends on the fight weight. If they fight at 135, then Diaz has a bigger chance of beating Hatton. At 140, he has a smaller probability of beating Hatton.

Diaz has better speed, boxing ability, stamina and pressure. BUT Ricky is the MUCH stronger, bigger man and is decent with pressure himself. It could be a backburner.

I lean towards Diaz but it depends how he handles the strength of Hatton at 140. Diaz is poddgy and carrys a bit too much bodyfat at 135, which is my only criticism of him

Diaz should go for it, he will get a lot of credit if he wins.

Ricky has trouble with bigger guys. Ricky would beat a smaller guy like Diaz.

I think looking at the 140 division right now I think this is the second most interesting fight out there for Ricky Hatton - after Junior Witter ofcourse.

i think Diaz will make for a good fight, not sure the 140 weight will agree with him though, he is shredded at 35. i reckon Hatton can stop Diaz in 6 entertaining rounds.
