What's wrong with Matthew Hatton. I accept he's not great but he is still a solid fighter.

Even Paulie has more KOs on his record than Brook he has zero. Considering the absolute bums he has faced says a lot about his KO power.

He won his British title the vacant way. The former holder, Kevin McIntyre, was stripped for some silly reason or another. People bleated on about it, so Kell happily went up to Scotland and knocked McIntyre down three times in the first round for a stoppage win.

He beat Michael Jennings in what I found a very dull bout, then beat teak-tough Lovemore Ndou, a guy who has fought the best and was considered a decent opponent for Saul Alvarez, shipping a good few right hands but taking the punishment.

After this, he absolutely annihilated Rafal Jackiewicz. Jackiewicz may have an average record, but he beat Jan Zaveck, who was in turn considered an acceptable opponent for Andre Berto to fight?

He then widely outscored Matthew Hatton, a guy deemed (ridiculously) an okay opponent for Saul Alvarez in a clash for a vacant light-middleweight belt.

Brook is still in the learning process, though at the final stages. People often do not wish to travel to England to fight him. He is still building up a name for himself in the UK though, so he needs as many quality fights such as the one this weekend in Sheffield as he possibly can before he heads off to the States.

As far as fighting at "world level", well, its not that hard anymore is it really? There are a proliferation of "world" titles around, so I'm sure Brook could pick up one of them. Bailey-Alexander, Malignaggi and Lopez? All winnable.

I think Brook could lead the post-Pacquiao/Mayweather welterweight brigade, featuring Bradley, Alexander, Khan, Peterson, Berto, Ortiz, Lopez and Mike Jones.

yessir. People are talking like the 147 division is the Black Murderers' Row. There's only one boxer in 147 who is anywhere near flawless. All the others have many chips.

I love how these delusional Brits get behind every single fighter that looks like he has a scrap of talent and then get embarrassingly humbled when said fighter comes to the States and has his Glass Jaw Shattered.

What, so he can ****ing try and run away from that gigantic off-course Devon Alexander hype train that seemed to be going so well till he fought "Eurobum" Andreas Kotelnik?

I see hypejob written all over him, it's a little late to be stepping up to worldclass isn't it? The way he's been babied vs no hopers is gonna hurt him badly when he faces a worldclass opponent with mental toughness, whole new ballgame. He might pick up a paper belt and hold it hostage vs hopeless mando's though before that happens.

Well, Devon Alexander had some terrible performances, robbing Kotelnik and Mathysse of wins, and now that he came and outboxed Maidana everyone is saying he's back.

So sure, I think Kell can compete with these guys, besides Pac and Floyd of course. Would lose to Bradley IMO
