I reckon he stays away from Bute and the other SMW elites. A 160lbs clash with Arthur Abraham would arouse a lot of interest, though. Fighting Bute and so on would probably do well too in terms of PPVs and whatnot but his chances of success are so ridiculously low of beating Ward, Dirrel, Froch, Bute etc. that I'd turn into a dull affair.
Yes. But so long as it's a carefully structured plan that can take him to an alphabet title and earn him some nice money. But he'll never crack the top 10 p4p or anything. His days as a feared opponent are shattered.
There is already an awful lot of obvious ignorance and bias in this thread. As a long time Pavlik fan, a life long boxing fan, and a recovered alcoholic, I can tell you one thing: The answer is maybe! Anyone who give any other answer is talking out his ass.
Yes all he had to do is leave his trainer and go trained with roach. Roach made pacquiao a beast. He ressurected amir khan career and now paulie the ho malignaggi is winning fights again. Kelly trained with freddie roach and become once again the most feared boxer in the world. :good
This is exactly the kind of ignorance I mentioned in my previous post. That is simply NOT how alcoholism works. Pavlik's drinking started long before the Hopkins fight. Alcoholism is a progressive disease, and the progression has almost nothing to do with outside circumstances.
I hope so, I have warmed to him since the Martinez fight. I would have my reservations because abusing your body, can erode/effect your skills.
Another bull**** post. Victory = feel good = celebrate with alcohol. Outside circumstances have very little to do with an alcoholic's drinking. Alcoholics drink because it's Tuesday morning, or because it's raining, or because it's a nice day, or because WE ARE ALCOHOLIC!!
