He said it still needs to be officially announced by Al Haymon and with the backlash from boxing fans I wonder if he could still pull out and get a better opponent?

I like watching Khan fight and since the Garcia loss was building himself up again with each opponent getting better but this is a step back imo.

Personally I think Al Haymon is behind this and I know this may sound silly but I think it's because mayweather might want to unify but not if Khan is the champ (if he was to fight Brook) because at his current age and especially after the Pac fight he would prefer to have an easier opponent like Brook and unify the titles.
Don't get me wrong even though I think it's Haymon who's behind this Khan is still an idiot who's letting him take him for a ride.

If Khan stays with Al Haymon I cant see him allowing Khan to fight Brook even after May and Pac retire.

Didn't Amir claim a few days ago that he already gave Algeiri his word and he won't go against that.

Khan wanted this fight, don't think for one minute he is being forced to fight Algeiri against his will.

Khan is all about taking the no risk fights. Al haymon is the same so they both Go well together.

his video sounded a bit flat and downbeat to me, he's normally a lot more bullish. seemed to be his heart wasn't fully in this fight.

Algeiri could get a suspicious injury and pull out leaving a fight with a broner / Bradley though, but that will have to happen soon.

Khan may not have 100% focus on this fight and we know what happens when khan over looks an opponent

Can everyone please wake up. I said the fight between me and kel brook will happen. When I think it's right. Look at who kel fought last

Proved myself so many times fighting A class opponents.

Seems to me Kel brook is dying to fight me for the big pay day before he faces a half decent opponent and loses that IBF title.

If it is Algerie (only beaten once by pacquiao @ 147 and still 140 WBO world champion) he's still a better opponent than No No Dan.

    Haha

The fact he's gone to twitter to defend his opponent say's an awful lot.

I hear what your saying but I wouldn't class this as a safe option because of the negative effect on Khans rep and Algeri is underrated so if Khan struggles he's going to look even worse.

He is more interested in slating brook and his opponents.
He can say what he wants but he has not fought a line of a class fighters alexander was good but now he takes a big step backwards

Lol @ thinking Mayweather cares one iota about whether Brook or Khan is IBF champion.

Mayweather is not concerned with Amir Khan. This myth continues to run.

has amir khan ever really faced an ''a class opponent''
Danny Garcia at the time wasn't known, he was a big underdog vs khan so he could not be known as a A fighter.
Malinaggi has always been a B class fighter his whole career.
And Zab Judah was past his prime.
Maidana is the only case you can make for an A Class fighter.
But for someone who claims to have proved himself vs the elite fighting One A Class fighter in his whole career isn't good enough

Al Haymon is calling the shots here. He is Khan's advisor.
