Im talking about the type of punch Ortiz took the round before he quit that made his eye really swollen and hes back was agaisnt the ropes. One of those Punches. I know some people argue his punch resistance has increased at his new weight. SO what do you think?
I dont think he could take a flush punch but i think he'll cruise his way to a safe UD.. I dont like Khan at all but i think he'll beat maidana farily easily in between some rough moments.
I don't think so but I also bleive he won't land a good of enough shot to really hurt him any ways .I think Roach has improved on Khan's defense ..
That is where the problem lies, can he get past those moments? I am putting $100 on it that he can't...............or will I.........damn I can't decide. It is tough to bet against a fighter trained by Roach!
We shall see, The obvious answer would be "IF he lands flush, It's light's out!" But that's the beauty of this sport, On paper don't mean ****!
question is...Can Maidana's punches reach to Khan's face? no to both questions.Wich makes Khan the winner.
It depends if he's seen it coming and braced for it or not. If Maidana can land one on the button while he's not braced for it, then "No". One of the interesting things about this fight is going to be watching Khan doing battle with his own ego. It's in his best interests to be as Floyd-esque as possible. Potshot; stick-and-move; get in, throw a combo, get out; Keep Maidana on the outside. Whether he's got the self-discipline to do that clinically for 12 rounds is open to question. I've got a feeling that, at some point, possibly when he's comfortable on the scorecards, Khan will want to stand there and bang for a bit, just to show the world (and himself) that he can do it. He might get away with it once or twice providing they're brief episodes and he doesn't stay in the pocket too long, but the more often he does it, and the longer he does it for, the more likely it is that Maidana will catch him with something nasty. He needs to be surgical, **** the naysayers and the critics, and concentrate on dishing out a boxing clinic, because he's got all the attributes to do just that, but I've just got this gut feeling that he's going to want to go toe-to-toe at some point and that it will be his downfall. And Roach will go ballistic when it happens.
Khan is going ro run from Maidana just like he did against Kotelnik. Whether he runs and punches effectively is what remains to be seen...
No. You can only roll better with punches, or hide the knockout point using great defensive technique...
