If he hits Kon like he hit Ortiz then he will knock Kon right into the cheap seats.

But will Kon just put up a high guard and run around all night to a UD? Probabaly

What has Young Amir done to prove he can take a good punch that lands cleanly?:huh

what has he done to prove he cant? hes took loads of punches in his early career. only one was good enough to stop the fight.

it aint so much about khans chin this. i would expect judah or ortiz to knock him out if they landed.

but maidana? i dont see it.

And who did Khan take these punches off? The one recognized puncher Khan has been in with knocked him out.

Maidana IMO hits harder than Ortiz.

he took them off loads of fighters, got dropped loads early on.

i dont believe maidana hits half as hard as people make out. he couldnt stop corley, and hernandez nearly knocked his head clean off with one punch.

im not saying khan cannot be knocked out, obviously he already has been.

im saying he will not get knocked out by maidana.

no, im saying i dont think he can hit hard.

this for me would prove a lot for maidana if he does knock out amir khan.

i think he is hugely overrated in terms of ranking and power.

i expect khan to smash him early on.

but if maidana does stop khan, props. he'll have proven me wrong.

These loads of fighters, were they big punchers?

Just because he didn't stop Corley, his power is overrated? Boxers react differently to different punches. Maidana who is regarded as a big puncher, but he couldn't knock Corley out...but then a boxer who is not regarded as a big puncher could knock Corley out...that's boxing for you.

Maidana has knocked 27? of his 30 opponents out...yet you don't believe he can knock Khan out...the same Khan who was demolished in 1 round by Prescott, who's power now seems to be looking like it is overrated.

I think Maidana has moar than enough power to KO Khan if he lands that lucky shot. I don't think he will though. Khan by TKO.

this is exactly how i envision maidana to be regarded in a year or so.

so far he has fought 3 named opponents.

    kotelnik, ortiz, corley.

non of them got kncoked out by him. ortiz quit but he didnt get knocked out. kotelnik and corley both lasted the distance. now corley is as shot as a fighter can be, he loses a lot more than he wins these days. and he has been brutally knocked out already, yet maidana couldnt finish him.

like i said my issue isnt with khans chin, it is with maidanas power.

Compare knock downs...1.40 onwards...the first meaningful punch Maidana lands, who is the one who looks the more hurt? I'd probably rate Ortiz's chin better than Khan's.
