I think that punch rattled Dirrell's brain a little. Made it wobble around inside his skull and gave him a concussion.
you see it all the time in boxing in the heat of battle i have seen plenty of times this happen but because the guy doesn't act and just gets up the boxer just gets a warning / points deducted calzaghe did a very similar punch to someone forget who
Everyone talks about this being some ridiculously devastating punch, but I've always thought Abraham was off balance and there is no way that you can get serious force behind a shot aimed so low. People talk about punches not being as effective when it's someone the size of Wlad punching down on a 6' guy, never mind an opponent being on their ****ing knees. Dirrell had taken better shots in the fight, especially the one which should have been called a knockdown.
Theres nothing that suggest faking on what we see, but what the hell was he going on is butt again before the punch. Pussying out of boxing again.
It looks like AA actually skips into it and kind of winds up the punch. He throws his weight into it by the way his foot lifts the ground. He may be off balance and without perfect delivery at that weird angle, but that doesn't mean he didn't put power into it. It's AA for crying out loud.
Dirrell wasnt acting, doesnt look the hardest best punch, but if you watch Dirrell's initial reaction to it, its no act, natural body response and who knows what its done inside, no one.
It was a delayed concussion (B- acting skills to be honest)....which has now mysteriously returned and is giving him headaches (which he never spoke about after the fight, boy does he need schooling on the art of bullshittin).....all this as soon as he was supposed to fight somebody which i think he knew he was going to get beat by...and this was the best excuse for him to use to get out of the fight....
