Like I've said in my post above, yes, it wasn't a full on power-punch. But at the same time it certainly wasn't a Paulie Malignaggi pillow-paw either. This is evident by the way Dirrell's head snaps to right after the impact. There was more than enough force behind it to hurt a fighter who's not expecting anything his way. I'm not denying the possibility of Dirrell making the most out of it, but there is actually nothing too bizzare in a person giving a delayed reaction after being hit. Whether this was the case with Dirrell, we can't be too sure. My opinion is torn on this, to be honest. I can't make my mind up.
This thread is just plain stupid and the person who wrote this mess must not have seen the fight. Durell originally thought he had lost the fight by KO, so ask yourself how could someone be faking getting KOed when they thought they had lost the fight ?
He could be faking thinking he lost the fight? Maybe his sadness post fight was sheer shame from acting to get a dq win? It's certainly within the realms of possibility. Look, i have never in my entire life seen a "delayed reaction head shot knockdown". Ive seen it to the body, but if someone gets wacked in the head, they dont stop, blink, wait a few seconds, go down moving their hands to clutch their head and are then concussed. Dirrell's movements post punch i find very unconvincing.
I can take that punch, if anything I am sure I wont be rolling around on the floor shaking my knees like he needs to take a ****. Be down for a few seconds and then be back up is the worst case scenario from that hit. And that is an exception for really glass jaws only. Dirrell, smartly took full advantage of the situation.
lol i dunno if this is a trick question but yea i honestly do think he could take it. that punch was a glancing blow at best.
Ok, Tyson(!) Why don't you take up boxing then? Or do you find it easier to play Tough Guy on the keyboard easier instead?
WTF does that have to do with your boyfriend faking getting hit? Are you an idiot? (That's a rhetorical question, BTW)
Im sure most glass jaws can take that punch and not be trembling on the floor. You dont need to be Tyson to take the punch.
Khan would have gone to sleep, but 6 months later he would have been okay to fight again. That goes to show what a ****** Dirrell is
Dirrell was almost 'running' on empty, AA was coming on strong, he saw a chance to get out, get the W and took it. Still AA only has himself to blame.
At the time of the fight i looked at that punch and thought it was huge, looking back on it i feel a little differently.
Yeah, no power..........that is why AD's head is turned farther than I can turn mine on my own with the punch.:-(
Khan would be KOed from the air of the right hand AA missed............that is why it is all UK hating. They have NOTHING but fraud fighters and no "real" champions from that area. And they have Haye..........LMAO
