I've been tempering my excitment for this fight until now, so I'm counting on it. Training camp is over, so unless he takes a spill down some stairs (please, no) I expect we'll see him in the ring.
yes the fight is definately on now. why? because when fighters get to the final week or 10 days or so depending on the individual, they stop intensive training (well most to), and simply heal up/rest from sparring etc. basically it's mitt work and other very light things like shadow boxing, general fitness etc. most sensible boxers dont do hard sparring or exercises right up to fight nite. if they did, they would usually end up burning pass their peak and end up flat in the ring. nope, my biggest worry was the final couple weeks. but from here on in it's cotton wool time
There's no training on the last week usually, only shadow boxing and light workouts. He'll be fine. He already tried to kick Sam Peter's ass at the press conference.
Be prepared to apologize when the fight happens, that's the first half of your crow eating. We'll save the second half if you come back after the fight.
Don't count on it. He'll just give you some bull**** about how he was just going on historical precedent (Vitali's previous injuries), and that he never actually made any prediction on what would happen in the ring. Suge, I know what you're up to. I read your posts. I can smell your bull**** from a mile away.
