I didn't have the fight close either. Nelson gave a good account of himself but Sanchez was clearly winning the fight. And Nelson turned out to be a H.O.F fighter.
No. Lomachenko couldn't handle the pressure and volume that Salido put on him. Sanchez would be like a buzzsaw, Lomachenko kryptonite. Worst possible match up for Lomachenko. That's like asking Mayweather to fight Duran or Armstrong.
Who Sanchez? I know he's a great fighter since he beat one of my all time favorite fighters Wilfredo Gomez. Believe me, I know it well.
Sanchez was a complete fighter. He could box, and he could bang. I have to go with the legend. I'd also pick Marco Antonio Barrera to beat Lomachenko at 126. If you think Limited Salido brought pressure and rough tactics, MAB was a different animal.. legendary.
Barrera was a great fighter but I think he's a wee bit too small for Loma, Barrera normally outsized at feather mind alone 130. He's more like Rigo size and should match up perfectly.
People still using the Salido loss as a gauge but fail to mention the loss and draw that Sanchez suffered.
Don't think so. Sanchez was just too versatile. Him and Sugar Ray Leonard are the two most complete fighters.
If you've followed a fighter you know his body language, mannerisms etc. Walters didn't put forth half an effort, he looked like a man who had a disagreement with Arum, was shelved so he couldn't make any money for a year, and then took the fight for less money because he needed the money.
