I think he'll be good, he has great athletic genes, he does that stuff for fun, triathlons and the likes, lopez is a tough kid but, ortiz is just to superior physically.

If lopez can take ortiz punch and smother him, then ortiz is in trouble,i'm rooting for the underdog's tonight, soto and lopez.

Lil Joey has taken every punch from everyone he's ever been in with. AFAIK he's never been down.

Granted, he's never been in with a puncher quite like Ortiz, but some of his opponents could crack some.

No, Ortiz is stronger and plain simply on a different level then Lopez.

Lopez gets hit too much, but he's certainly a warrior. Vargas was tagging him 6-7 times before he could get off, although that fight Vargas gassed and it was close later. Also that fight was at 140, same with the Dallas fight, though Dallas gassed and got stopped. Ortiz' power should really affect the slower Lopez early, I even think he can take him out. My only concern with Ortiz is mental, which Ortiz is showing up? And if Lopez can bother him early will he flake out? If he stays together, he wins by TKO no later than 8.

I have been thinking that maybe Vic has been training for way too long 6-7 months!! Thats OD.

Lopez DOES have the skills to beat him. I'm pretty sure he can out jab Ortiz and keep him at distance, but I think Vic is going to end up out slugging him regardless.

Ring Rust is a big one that hasn't been adressed.

but then that might be negated by hunger from Ortiz.... and still being pissed about Mayweather and getting motivated by all the haters like when he destroyed berto with pure heart and will.

i dont think so, Victor doesnt look as dehydrated as Rios and he has way more skills than Rios( a worse chin maybe)...Abril just outboxed a very limited Rios.Ortiz isnt limited.
