I'm looking at the odds for this fight and +250 for Browne seems intriguing. I mean Browne looked like complete crap against Whyte and I haven't seen much on Allen but I feel like the odds for this fight are kinda off. To me this is more of a 50/50 fight and I don't really see Browne as the underdog here. Am I completely off here?
Of course he can. He's fighting David Allen. Not Anthony Joshua. But it's unlikely. Browne is old and shot and slow. He looked horrible in his last three fights and could have easily lost to Sokolowski. It was a razor close fight. Sokolowski is a soft puncher compared to Allen. Allen will probably lose a few rounds if Browne is using the jab but i can't see him avoiding the big right of Allen for 12 rounds. There is a reason why Dave Allen (ffs!) is big favorite at the betting market and odds on Browne raising and raising.
No you clown. Not based on the Webb fight, based on all fights i have watched of Allen. Allen has decent right, especially overhand right is good and easily enough to KTFO Browne who was hurt by Long and Sokolowski ffs.
A loss here for Browne would be da end of da road for him . An he is getting older , looks very even Steven between Allen an Browne .
I think either way its pretty much the end of the road for Browne but the question is, can he defeat a level C fighter like Allen
Browne was the favourite with Sportsbet in Australia until after his last fight against the journeyman in Scotland then Allen was made favourite.
Lucas Browne should be the marginal favourite in this one because of the level he has been victorious at previously, and because Allen is limited in ability. Allen only has a good chance because of how shot Browne is.
The British bookies have Alien as the favorite I see, but I would favor Browne in that bout. Who's Allen's best win to date actually? Tom Dallas? Nick Webb?
A 40 year old former secondary beltholder vs a 27 year old tough journeyman that lost everytime he stepped up.
