I don't think Browne is shot. He's definitely faded, but even a faded version of Browne is enough to beat Dave Allen. Solokowski's one of those rugged, awkward guys like Rudenko who can cause you problems if you're not on your game. Despite Browne having problems early on, I think he managed to adjust quite well to nick the fight on the cards. It wasn't a great performance by any means, but it shouldn't condemn him against a C level slugger like Allen, who's actually lost to fighters on Solokowski's level. Allen's a weird one though. He clearly dialled it in for most of his career but seems to be taking things seriously this time round, so who knows what he might pull out of the bag on the night. Quite an intriguing fight, all round actually.
Both looked to have trained for the fight and browne has it in his contract if he wins he would face price next which is another decent paycheck and very winable fight for browne which couod lead last big payday for him so he has no excuses not trained properly ,allen is fresher younger but is he any good on previous outings no browne should be able to stop him but allen does have a good chin this could be strangely entertainingly or one of worst fights ever, the undercard is utter crap terrible card not not sure opening top tier in 02. Allen headlining sat night sky sports card shows how far Hearn let it slip in uk
Brown was never very good looked like a 40 something dad who hit the gym .blokes who go to the same gym as me would ko him.He is now shot to 5hit and heading for a hammering.
It's really weird but I'm so hyped for this fight, can't wait for it. These lower level heavyweight scraps tend to be really enjoyable for me lol.
No idea really. There's lots of conflicting variables here. Browne on paper is the better fighter and has the tools to beat Allen if he's anywhere close to his best. Allen has the durability and punching power to get to Browne during the exchanges and looks to have really put the effort in to getting himself into shape. Both men look and sound confident, with Allen perhaps edging it in that category. If Browne can get his jab going and use his superior height and reach to control distance on Allen then he can start bringing in the big uppercuts and cuffing right hands when Allen tries to get close. If Allen can successfully parry and block Browne's work and close distance he can bring into play his big bodyshots and overhand right. There are dangers for both men if they switch off. If Browne neglects his jab or lets Allen start to brawl with him then Allen is at an advantage. If Allen neglects his defence and carelessly wades forward he could eat a big uppercut which could stun him to the point of a barrage stoppage. If forced to pick I'd go with Allen, just based on some of the things I've heard him say. Really wouldn't be shocked if I was wrong though. Allen's an unproven commodity, while Browne might still not be a totally faded one.
